1. Introduction

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 2, item 7).
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert one 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

Note: If the battery compartment seems tight, ensure you are using a standard-sized 9V battery and inserting it correctly. Do not force the battery.

5.2 Initial Power-On and Self-Test

Press the power button to turn on the device. The gauge will perform a brief self-test, and the display will illuminate. Ensure the battery icon indicates sufficient power.

5.3 Connecting Hoses

Connect appropriate refrigerant hoses (not included) to the inlet and outlet connections (refer to Figure 2, items 3 and 6) of the manifold gauge. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

6. Operation

6.1 Selecting Refrigerant Type

The L202 has a built-in database of 90 refrigerants. Use the function keys to scroll through and select the appropriate refrigerant for your system (e.g., R134A, R410A, R1234YF). The gauge will display the corresponding saturation temperature data.

6.2 Operating Modes

The L202 features three primary operating modes:

6.4 Backlight Adjustment

The display backlight can be adjusted for optimal visibility. Short press the power key to cycle through brightness levels. The backlight will automatically switch off after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the display or casing.
