4.3 Pre-Wired Plug & Play System

5. Setup & Installation

The KEMIMOTO UTV Turn Signal Kit is designed for straightforward installation due to its pre-wired and plug-and-play nature. Follow these general steps:

Prepare Your Vehicle: Ensure your vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before beginning installation. Identify suitable mounting locations for the turn signals (front and rear), horn, and switches.
Mount Turn Signals: Securely mount the four amber turning signal lights (two front, two rear) in visible locations. The triangle design allows for flexible mounting.
Install Horn: Mount the 110dB horn in a location where its sound will not be obstructed.
Install Switches: Install the left/right rocker switch and the hazard/horn switch in your vehicle's dashboard or a convenient control panel. These switches feature laser-etched LED markings for easy visibility.
Route Wiring Harness: Carefully route the main wiring harness from the switches to the control box, and then to each turn signal and the horn. The harness is designed with sufficient length (up to 220 inches) to accommodate various vehicle sizes (2/4/6-seater UTVs). Color lines are marked on the corresponding installation locations for easier identification.

Connect Power: Connect the main power wires from the harness to your vehicle's 12V power source (e.g., battery terminals). Ensure connections are secure and properly insulated.
Secure Wiring: Use the provided nylon cable ties to secure all wiring, keeping it tidy and away from moving parts or heat sources.
Test System: Reconnect the battery and test all functions: left turn signal, right turn signal, hazard lights, and horn.

6. Operating Instructions

Once installed, operating your KEMIMOTO UTV Turn Signal Kit is simple and intuitive:

6.1 Turn Signals

Left Turn: Press the left arrow on the rocker switch to activate the left turn signal.
Right Turn: Press the right arrow on the rocker switch to activate the right turn signal.
The turn signals will blink until the switch is returned to the neutral position.

6.2 Hazard Lights

Activate Hazard: Press the hazard switch (triangle icon) to activate all four turn signals simultaneously.
Deactivate Hazard: Press the hazard switch again to turn off the hazard lights.

6.3 Horn Operation

Short Press: Press and immediately release the horn switch (horn icon) for a single beep.
Long Press: Press and hold the horn switch for continuous horn sound. The horn will stop sounding immediately upon release.

The KEMIMOTO UTV Turn Signal Kit is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. To ensure long-lasting performance:

Regular Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
Cleanliness: Keep the turn signal lenses and horn free from excessive dirt and debris. Clean with a soft, damp cloth as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Waterproof Design: The kit features a waterproof design, making it suitable for various weather conditions. However, avoid direct high-pressure water sprays on electrical components.
Wire Integrity: Ensure that no wires are pinched, frayed, or exposed. Replace any damaged components immediately.
