4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Console

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the console's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The indicator light will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 7 hours of playtime.

The console supports C2C chargers for efficient charging.

4.2 Inserting a TF Card

The console comes with a pre-installed TF card for the operating system and preloaded games. If you wish to expand storage or add more games, you can use the external TF card slot.

  1. Locate the TF/EXT card slot on the console (refer to Figure 3.2).
  2. Gently insert a compatible MicroSD card (up to 256 GB) into the slot until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in again until it springs out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power Key until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power Key until a power-off menu appears on the screen, then select 'Shutdown' or 'Power Off'. Alternatively, a quick press of the Power Key may put the device into sleep mode.

5.2 Navigation and Game Selection

  • Use the D-Pad or Joysticks to navigate through menus and game lists.
  • Press the A button (or indicated action button) to confirm a selection.
  • Press the B button (or indicated action button) to go back to the previous menu.
  • The console supports various emulators for game formats such as NDS, N64, DC, PSP, PS1, GBA, GBC, GB, SFC, FC, MD, and more.

5.3 In-Game Functions

  • During gameplay, specific button combinations (often involving the MENU button) can access emulator menus for options like saving/loading game states, adjusting settings, or exiting the game. Refer to the specific emulator's documentation for detailed controls.
  • The console features a vibration motor for haptic feedback in supported games, enhancing the gaming experience.

5.4 Connecting External Devices

  • Wired Controller: Connect a compatible wired controller to the console's USB port for multi-player gaming or alternative control.
  • Earphones: Plug 3.5mm earphones into the headphone jack for private audio.
  • External Wi-Fi Module: An external Wi-Fi module (not included) can be connected for online multiplayer functionality, if supported by the system and games.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the console's exterior.
  • For the screen, use a microfiber cloth specifically designed for electronics. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Do not spray cleaning solutions directly onto the console.

6.2 Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the console for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% to prolong battery life.
  • Do not expose the console to extreme temperatures.

6.3 Storage

  • Store the console in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Console Does Not Power On

  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the console to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • Press and hold the Power Key for several seconds.
  • If unresponsive, use a thin object to press the Reset button (refer to Figure 3.2) and then attempt to power on.

7.2 Games Not Loading or Crashing

  • Ensure the TF card containing the games is properly inserted into the TF/EXT slot.
  • Verify that the game file format is supported by the console's emulators.
  • Some games may require specific emulator settings. Consult online communities or resources for optimal settings for particular games.
  • Try restarting the console.

7.3 Screen Issues

  • If the screen flickers or displays incorrectly, try restarting the console.
  • Ensure the console has not been exposed to physical damage or extreme temperatures.

7.4 Poor Audio Quality

  • Check the volume settings on the console.
  • If using headphones, ensure they are fully plugged into the 3.5mm jack and are functioning correctly with other devices.
  • Clean the headphone jack and speaker grilles if there is visible dust or debris.
