1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

  • Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the unit (110 Volts).
  • Do not immerse the unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the unit from the power outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or before moving.

4. Product Overview

  • Control Panel: Located on the top of the unit for manual operation.
  • Air Outlet: Front grille where cooled air is discharged.
  • Water Tank: Large 3.1-gallon reservoir at the bottom for water and ice boxes. Features a transparent water-level indicator.
  • Honeycomb Pad: Evaporative cooling media located behind the rear panel.
  • Casters: Four 360° wheels for easy mobility.

5. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your evaporative air cooler:

  1. Unpack the Unit: Remove all packaging materials and place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Install the Wheels: Turn the unit upside down. Insert the four 360° wheels into the designated slots on the base of the unit until they click securely into place.
  3. Fill the Water Tank: The unit features a 3.1-gallon water tank. You can fill it using two methods:
    • Top-Fill Method: Open the top cover and pour water directly into the tank.
    • Back-Fill Hose Method: Remove the honeycomb pad from the back of the unit. Attach a hose to the designated port and add water from a distance. This method is designed for convenience and to prevent spills.

    Ensure the water level does not exceed the 'MAX' indicator. For optimal cooling, use cold water.

  4. Add Ice Boxes (Optional): For enhanced cooling, place the provided ice boxes into the water tank. You can pre-freeze them for maximum effect.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the 78-inch electric cord into a standard 110V AC power outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Zaribu S1 Evaporative Air Cooler can be operated using either the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

6.1. Control Panel and Remote Control

Both the control panel and remote control offer intuitive buttons for various functions:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit On/Off.
  • Speed Button: Cycles through Low, Medium, and High wind speeds.
  • Cooler Button: Activates or deactivates the evaporative cooling function.
  • Timer Button: Sets the operating timer (up to 7 hours).
  • Swing Button: Activates or deactivates the automatic 120° oscillation.

6.2. Modes of Operation

The Zaribu S1 offers three distinct modes to suit your cooling needs:

  • Fan Mode: Operates as a standard fan, circulating air without water. Ideal for general air circulation.
  • Humidifier Mode: Activated by adding water to the tank. The unit releases cool, moist air, helping to alleviate dry air conditions.
  • Air Cooler Mode: For maximum cooling effect, add water and ice boxes to the tank. The evaporative cooling process significantly lowers the air temperature.

6.3. Speed Settings

Select from three wind speeds:

  • Low (15 ft/s): For a gentle breeze and quiet operation.
  • Medium (20 ft/s): Provides comfortable airflow for everyday use.
  • High (27 ft/s): Delivers a powerful blast of air for rapid cooling.

6.4. Timer Function

The integrated 7-hour timer allows you to set the unit to automatically turn off after a specified period, conserving energy and providing convenience, especially during sleep.

6.5. Oscillation Feature

Activate the 120° automatic swing function to distribute cool air across a wider area, ensuring even cooling throughout the room.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the life of your air cooler.

  • Daily Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Water Tank Cleaning (Weekly): Unplug the unit. Drain any remaining water from the tank. Remove the tank and clean it with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly to prevent mold or mildew buildup.
  • Honeycomb Pad Cleaning (Monthly or as needed): Unplug the unit. Remove the honeycomb pad from the back. Rinse the pad under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank and honeycomb pad are completely dry. Store in a cool, dry place.

8. Troubleshooting
