Installation Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to install your ADE HM21 Optic Mounting Plate.
Required Tools (Not Included):
- Rear sight pusher tool (recommended) or appropriate punch and hammer
- Torque wrench with appropriate bit
- Blue threadlocker (e.g., Loctite 242)
Installation Steps:
- Ensure Firearm is Unloaded: Always verify that the firearm is unloaded and safe before beginning any work. Remove the magazine and clear the chamber.
- Remove Factory Rear Sight: Carefully remove the existing factory rear sight from your Beretta APX slide. A rear sight pusher tool is recommended to prevent damage.
- Clean Sight Dovetail: Clean any debris or residue from the dovetail slot on the slide.
- Install Mounting Plate: Slide the ADE HM21 Optic Mounting Plate into the rear sight dovetail slot. Ensure it is seated flush and centered.
- Prepare Red Dot Sight: Place your compatible red dot sight onto the mounting plate.
- Apply Threadlocker: Apply a small amount of blue threadlocker to the threads of the red dot mounting screws.
- Secure Red Dot Sight: Insert and hand-tighten the appropriate screws to secure the red dot sight to the mounting plate.
- Torque Screws: Using a torque wrench, tighten the screws to 12 lb/inch (approximately 1.36 Nm). Do not overtighten.
- Allow Threadlocker to Cure: Refer to the threadlocker manufacturer's instructions for proper curing time before use.

Maintenance
The ADE HM21 Optic Mounting Plate is constructed from durable aircraft aluminum with a powder-coated finish. To ensure longevity and proper function:
- Regularly inspect the plate and screws for any signs of loosening or damage.

- Reapply threadlocker and re-torque screws if any loosening is detected.

Plate Does Not Fit Pistol Slide:
Ensure your Beretta APX model is listed under 'Compatible Pistol Models'. This plate is not designed for 'Optic Ready' versions or 'Carry' models.
Red Dot Sight Does Not Mount Securely:
Verify your red dot sight is listed under 'Compatible Red Dot Sights'. Ensure you are using the correct screws for your specific red dot and that they are torqued to 12 lb/inch with blue threadlocker.
Screws Provided Do Not Fit My Red Dot:
