Lightweight Foldable Rollator Walkers for Seniors with Seat

1. Important Safety Information

Please read this manual carefully before using your AKOASM Rollator Walker. Failure to follow instructions may result in injury.

  • Weight Capacity: This rollator is designed to support a maximum user weight of 300 lbs (approximately 136 kg). Do not exceed this limit.
  • Brakes: Always check the brakes for proper function before each use. Engage the parking brakes when sitting or standing.
  • Stability: Ensure all parts are securely locked in place before use. Do not use on stairs or escalators.
  • Terrain: While designed for all-terrain use, exercise caution on uneven surfaces, inclines, and declines. Avoid steep slopes.
  • Adjustments: Ensure handles and seat are adjusted to a comfortable and safe height for the user.
  • Maintenance: Regularly inspect the rollator for wear and tear, especially wheels, brakes, and frame components.

2. Setup and Assembly

The AKOASM Rollator Walker is designed for quick, tool-free assembly.

2.1 Unfolding the Rollator

  1. Remove the rollator from its packaging.
  2. Place the rollator on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Gently pull the handles outwards until the frame fully expands and locks into place. Ensure the seat is flat and secure.
  4. Verify that all locking mechanisms are engaged before use.

2.2 Adjusting Handle and Seat Height

The handle and seat heights are adjustable to accommodate users between 5'6" and 6'6".

  1. Handle Height: Locate the control buttons on the handle posts. Press the buttons and slide the handles up or down to the desired height (32.4" to 39"). Ensure both handles are at the same height and click securely into place.
  2. Seat Height: The seat can be adjusted to 3 levels (20" to 23"). Consult the product diagram for specific adjustment points. Ensure the seat is level and locked before sitting.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Using the Brakes

The rollator features a 3-mode braking system for enhanced safety and control.

  • Free Mode: Allows the rollator to move freely without resistance.
  • Slow Mode: Provides resistance, making it safer for going downhill or when more control is desired.
  • Park Mode: Engages the parking brake to lock the wheels, preventing movement when sitting or standing. To engage, push the brake levers down until they click into place. To release, pull the levers up.

3.2 Walking with the Rollator

Maintain an upright posture and keep the rollator close to your body. Push the rollator forward slightly, then step forward. Repeat this motion, ensuring the rollator remains stable.

3.3 Using the Seat

Before sitting, ensure the rollator is on a flat surface and the parking brakes are fully engaged. Sit down slowly and carefully. The seat is waterproof PU leather with a solid wooden board and high-density foam for comfort. The backrest is thickened and widened for support.

3.4 Folding for Storage and Transport

The rollator can be folded in seconds for easy storage and transport.

  1. Ensure the storage basket is empty.
  2. Pull the folding strap located on the seat upwards.
  3. The rollator will collapse inwards. Use the dedicated locking mechanism to secure it in the folded position.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your rollator.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. The PU seat is waterproof and can be easily cleaned.
  • Wheels: Periodically check the 8-inch all-terrain non-pneumatic rubber wheels for debris and ensure they rotate freely.
  • Brakes: Test the brakes regularly. If they feel loose or ineffective, consult the troubleshooting section or contact support.
  • Fasteners: Ensure all screws, bolts, and locking mechanisms are tight and secure. Do not overtighten.
  • Storage: Store the rollator in a dry place away from extreme temperatures.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your rollator, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
