4. Setup

4.1 Powering On/Off and Charging

  • To power on the device, slide the Power Switch (5) to the ON position.
  • To power off, slide the Power Switch (5) to the OFF position.
  • Connect the included USB Type-C Charging Cable to the Type-C Charging Port (4) and a standard 5V/2A power adapter (not included) to charge the built-in 1800mAh battery. A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.

4.2 Remote Control Setup

  • The remote control requires two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included). Insert them according to the polarity markings.
  • Ensure the insulation sheet is removed from the battery slot if present.
  • When operating, point the remote control towards the front of the CD player.
  • Note: The remote control cannot power on/off the player; use the physical power switch on the device.

4.3 Wall Mounting Installation

The CD player can be mounted on a wall to save space.

  1. Choose a suitable location on the wall.
  2. Place the wall-mounted plate against the wall and mark the screw positions.
  3. Drill holes at the marked positions and insert the wall plugs (if necessary for your wall type).
  4. Fix the wall-mounted plate securely to the wall using the four included screws.
  5. Align the back of the CD player with the wall-mounted plate and gently slide it down until it locks into place.

4.4 Desktop Placement

For desktop use, simply place the CD player on a flat, stable surface. The integrated stand will support it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing a CD

  1. Ensure the player is powered on.
  2. Gently press down on the center circle of the dust cover (12) to remove it.
  3. Remove any protective card or film from the CD mechanism.
  4. Place a CD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-MP3, or CD-WMA disc onto the spindle, label side up.
  5. Align the bottom of the dust cover with the slot and gently press it down until it clicks into place.
  6. The player will automatically detect the disc and begin playback. If not, press the CD button on the remote or the Mode button (6) on the device until "CD Mode" is announced.
  7. Use the Play/Pause (10), Previous Song/Fast Back (9), and Next Song/Fast Forward (11) buttons on the device or remote to control playback.
  8. Adjust volume using Volume + (8) and Volume - (7).

5.2 Bluetooth Modes

The Kegaudio CD Player supports both Bluetooth receiving and transmitting.

5.2.1 Bluetooth Receiver Mode (Playing audio from your phone/tablet)

  1. Press the BT button on the remote control or the Mode button (6) on the device until "Bluetooth Mode" is announced. The indicator light will be dark blue.
  2. On your mobile phone or tablet, activate Bluetooth and search for devices.
  3. Select "Y-01" from the list of available devices to pair. It will connect in a few seconds.
  4. Once connected, you can play audio from your phone/tablet through the CD player's speakers.

5.2.2 Bluetooth Transmitter Mode (Playing CD audio to Bluetooth headphones/speakers)

  1. Insert a CD and ensure it is playing in CD Mode.
  2. Activate your Bluetooth headphones or speaker and put them into pairing mode.
  3. Long press the Play/Pause button (10) on the remote control for 3 seconds to activate Bluetooth Transmit Mode.
  4. The CD player will automatically search for and pair with your Bluetooth device. This may take a few seconds.
  5. Once paired, audio from the CD will play through your connected Bluetooth headphones or speaker.

5.3 FM Radio Mode

  1. Press the FM button on the remote control or the Mode button (6) on the device until "FM Mode" is announced.
  2. The player will automatically scan and store available FM radio stations.
  3. Use the Previous Song/Fast Back (9) and Next Song/Fast Forward (11) buttons to switch between stored stations.

5.4 USB Playback Mode

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Port (1).
  2. Press the USB button on the remote control or the Mode button (6) on the device until "USB Mode" is announced.
  3. The player will automatically detect and play audio files from the USB drive.
  4. Use the Play/Pause (10), Previous Song/Fast Back (9), and Next Song/Fast Forward (11) buttons to control playback.

5.5 AUX Input Mode

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, car speakers) to the 3.5mm Earphones Port (2) using an AUX cable (not included).
  2. Press the Mode button (6) on the device until "LINE Mode" is announced.
  3. Audio from the connected device will play through the CD player's speakers.

5.6 A-B Repeat Function

The A-B repeat function is useful for language learning or repeating specific sections of audio.

  1. During CD or USB playback, press the A-B button on the remote control at the desired starting point (A).
  2. Press the A-B button again at the desired ending point (B).
  3. The section between A and B will repeat continuously.
  4. Press the A-B button a third time to cancel the repeat function.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting
