Operating Instructions
Temperature Control
The refrigerator features an adjustable thermostat with 7 settings to control the temperature of both the fridge and freezer compartments.
- Fridge Temperature Range: 33.8°F to 50°F (1°C to 10°C)
- Freezer Temperature Range: -11.2°F to 6.8°F (-24°C to -14°C)
Turn the thermostat dial to your desired setting. Higher numbers indicate colder temperatures. For initial setup, it is recommended to start at a medium setting (e.g., 4) and adjust as needed based on food load and ambient temperature.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
- Clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
- Clean the door gaskets regularly to ensure a proper seal.
- Vacuum or brush the condenser coils at the back of the unit periodically (at least twice a year) to maintain efficiency.
Defrosting
This refrigerator features a manual defrost system for the freezer compartment. Frost buildup can reduce cooling efficiency.
- Unplug the refrigerator.
- Remove all food items from both compartments. Store frozen items in a cooler to prevent thawing.
- Leave the freezer door open to allow frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
- Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting, as this can damage the unit.
- Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the unit back in and returning food.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator does not operate. | Not plugged in; circuit breaker tripped; power outage. | Ensure plug is secure; check circuit breaker; verify power supply. |
| Temperature is not cold enough. | Thermostat set too warm; door opened too frequently; heavy food load; poor ventilation. | Adjust thermostat to a colder setting; minimize door openings; allow space for air circulation; reduce food load if excessive. |
| Excessive noise. | Refrigerator not level; objects vibrating against the unit; normal compressor operation. | Adjust leveling feet; ensure no objects are touching the unit; some noise from compressor is normal. |
| Water on floor/inside. | Drain tube clogged; door not sealing properly; defrost water. | Clear drain tube; check door gasket for proper seal; this is normal during manual defrost. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact HOMCOM customer support.
