2. Setup and Initial Operation
2.1. Initial Winding
Your Orient RA-AC0027S watch is powered by a mechanical movement (Calibre F6724) that can be wound manually or automatically. For initial setup or if the watch has stopped, manual winding is recommended.
- Ensure the crown is in position 0 (normal operating position, pushed in).
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- The second hand should begin to move.

2.2. Setting Time and Date
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to position 1. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement. If the current time falls within this period, first set the time outside this range, then set the date, and finally reset the time.
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to position 2. The second hand will stop (hacking feature). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time setting, synchronize with a reliable time source. Push the crown back to position 0 once the time is set.
2.3. Adjusting the Strap
The watch comes with a beige leather strap featuring a buckle closure. Adjust the strap length by selecting the appropriate hole for a comfortable and secure fit on your wrist.

3. Operating Your Watch
3.1. Automatic Winding
The Calibre F6724 movement is self-winding. Normal daily wear, including arm movements, will automatically wind the mainspring. If the watch is worn regularly (8-10 hours a day), manual winding is generally not required.
3.2. Power Reserve
When fully wound, the watch has a power reserve that allows it to operate for approximately 40 hours without being worn or manually wound. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop. Simply manually wind it or wear it to restart.
4. Maintenance and Care
4.1. Water Resistance
Your Orient RA-AC0027S watch is water resistant to 30 meters (3 ATM). This rating means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand small splashes or hand washing.
- DO NOT wear the watch while showering, bathing, swimming, or diving.
- DO NOT operate the crown or pushers when the watch is wet.
- Ensure the crown is always pushed in completely to maintain water resistance.
4.2. Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and harsh chemicals. If the strap becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally.
4.3. Storage
When not wearing the watch for extended periods, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box is suitable for storage.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1. Watch Not Running
- Check Winding: If the watch has stopped, it may have run out of power reserve. Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times while it is in position 0.
- Wear Time: Ensure you are wearing the watch for sufficient periods (8-10 hours daily) for the automatic winding mechanism to function effectively.
5.2. Date Not Changing
- Time Setting: Ensure the time is set correctly, passing midnight for the date to advance.
- Manual Adjustment: If the date is stuck, manually adjust it by pulling the crown to position 1 and rotating it counter-clockwise. Remember to avoid adjusting between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM.
5.3. Inaccurate Timekeeping
- Expected Accuracy: Mechanical watches are not as precise as quartz watches. Your Orient RA-AC0027S has an expected accuracy of +25 to -15 seconds per day.
- Magnetic Fields: Exposure to strong magnetic fields can affect timekeeping. If you suspect magnetization, consult a professional watchmaker.
- Service: If accuracy deviates significantly from the specified range, the watch may require servicing by a qualified technician.
