4. Setup and Assembly

  1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring they are centered and tightened securely.
  3. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, ensuring the disc brake rotor aligns correctly with the caliper. Secure the quick release or axle nuts.
  4. Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms carefully. Note that the left pedal is reverse-threaded.
  5. Seatpost Adjustment: Insert the seatpost into the frame and adjust the seat height for comfortable riding. Secure the quick release clamp.
  6. Battery Installation/Charging: Install the battery into its designated compartment. Before first use, fully charge the battery using the provided charger.
  7. Final Checks: Double-check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases for tightness. Ensure brakes are functioning correctly and tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.

5.1 Powering On/Off

Locate the power button on the control panel (usually on the handlebars or battery). Press and hold to turn the bike's electrical system on or off. The LED headlight will also activate with the power.

5.2 Pedal Assist System (PAS)

Your OOK-TEK bike features a pedal-assist system. As you pedal, the motor provides assistance. Use the control panel to select different levels of assist, from minimal to maximum power. Higher assist levels provide more motor power and consume battery faster.

5.3 Gear Shifting

The bike is equipped with a 7-speed gear system. Use the trigger shifter on the handlebars to change gears. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain or downhill riding.

5.4 Braking

The bike uses disc brakes. The right lever controls the rear brake, and the left lever controls the front brake. Apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal stopping power. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, to prevent skidding.

5.5 Headlight Operation
