5. Operating Instructions

  1. Unlock the Pruners: Push the safety lock lever forward to open the blades.
  2. Position for Cutting: Place the branch or stem to be cut between the bypass blades. Ensure the branch is within the cutting capacity of 1 inch (2.54 cm). For optimal results, position the branch as close to the pivot point as possible.
  3. Make the Cut: Squeeze the handles firmly and smoothly until the cut is complete. The bypass action ensures a clean, precise cut, minimizing damage to the plant. The ergonomic, non-slip grip handles are designed to reduce hand fatigue during prolonged use.
  4. Re-engage Safety Lock: After use, close the blades and pull the safety lock lever back to secure the pruners in the closed position.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the blades to remove sap, dirt, and debris. The self-cleaning sap groove helps prevent buildup. Use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild detergent. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a light oil to the pivot point and blade surfaces to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
  • Blade Replacement: If the titanium blade becomes dull or damaged beyond sharpening, it can be replaced. Use the included extra titanium blade. To replace, carefully loosen the screw holding the blade, remove the old blade, insert the new one, and tighten the screw securely. Ensure the pruners are locked during this process.
  • Spring Replacement: If the spring loses tension or breaks, replace it with one of the included extra stainless steel springs. Carefully remove the old spring and insert the new one into its designated slot.
  • Storage: Always engage the safety lock and store the pruners in a dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
