Model: 7-52356-83915-4

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the PowerXL Smokeless Grill Elite. This appliance is designed to provide an indoor grilling experience with minimal smoke, thanks to its integrated AirFlow Technology and Smoke Capture Fan. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the grill to ensure safe and efficient use. Keep these instructions for future reference.

Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions carefully before use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Operating Instructions

Preheating

  1. Plug the unit into a power outlet.
  2. Press the Power Button on the control panel. The fan will automatically turn on.
  3. Set your desired cooking temperature using the temperature controls. The grill heats up to 450°F (232°C). Always set the temperature above 200°F (93°C) for optimal performance.
  4. Allow the grill to preheat for 5–10 minutes. The indicator light will typically change or turn off when the set temperature is reached.

Cooking

  1. Once preheated, carefully place your food onto the grill plate.
  2. Close the glass lid to help contain smoke and heat, and to speed up cooking.
  3. Monitor your food and adjust cooking time as needed. The ceramic-coated surface prevents sticking and reduces the need for excessive oil.
  4. Use a meat thermometer to ensure food is cooked to a safe internal temperature.

Temperature Control

The digital control panel allows precise temperature adjustment. Refer to the control panel markings for specific temperature settings. Adjust time and temperature as needed to avoid under- or overcooking.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your PowerXL Smokeless Grill Elite.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the grill from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Components: Carefully remove the Glass Lid, Grill Plate, and Drip Tray from the Base Unit.
  3. Dishwasher Safe Parts: The Grill Plate and Drip Tray are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. For best results, rinse off large food particles before placing them in the dishwasher.
  4. Hand Washing: For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  5. Base Unit: Wipe the Base Unit with a clean, damp cloth. Never immerse the Base Unit in water or any other liquid.
  6. Smoke Capture Fan: Clean the mesh filter regularly for proper airflow and heat performance. The fan cover can usually be removed for access to the fan blades for cleaning with a soft brush or cloth. Ensure it is dry before reassembly.
  7. Storage: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the grill or store components separately in a clean, dry place.
