5.2 Using the Attachments

Always ensure hair is slightly damp for best styling results, unless using the hair dryer attachment for initial drying.

  • Curl Attachments (28 mm):
These attachments utilize a 'pull-in effect' for soft, self-twisting curls. Use the left-curling attachment for curls twisting to the left and the right-curling attachment for curls twisting to the right. Hold a section of hair near the attachment, and the air current will gently wrap the hair around the barrel. Hold for a few seconds, then release. Repeat for all sections.

  • Round Brush (45 mm):
Ideal for adding extra volume and bounce to your hair. Work with sections of hair, placing the brush at the roots and gently pulling it through to the ends while rotating. For added volume, lift hair at the roots and hold the brush there for a few seconds with heat.

Image 5.3: The round brush (1) is used for volume and bounce, the hair dryer attachment (2) for gentle drying, and the volume brush (3) for a smooth finish.

  • Volume Brush:
Use this brush for a smooth, tight styling finish. Glide the brush through sections of hair from root to tip, applying gentle tension to smooth and straighten.
  • Hair Dryer Attachment:
For gentle drying of the hair. Use this attachment to remove excess moisture before styling with other attachments, or for a quick, gentle dry. Direct the airflow over sections of hair until desired dryness is achieved.
