1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Zaribu Portable Air Conditioner. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new appliance. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

This portable air conditioner is designed to provide efficient cooling for various indoor spaces such as rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, garages, and pet areas. It features a 3.2-gallon water tank, up to 20 hours of cooling, 4 ice packs, a timer function, 3 speed settings, and 120-degree oscillation.

2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the air conditioner and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level floor. Ensure there is at least 12 inches (30 cm) of clear space around the unit for proper airflow. This unit is floor standing and does not require an outdoor unit.
  3. Prepare Ice Packs: Fill the included ice packs with water and place them in a freezer until completely frozen.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank cover (usually located at the top or back of the unit). Fill the 3.2-gallon water tank with clean, cool water. For enhanced cooling, place the frozen ice packs into the water tank. Do not overfill the tank beyond the maximum fill line.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 110-Volt electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.

5. Operating Instructions

The Zaribu Portable Air Conditioner can be operated using the touch control panel on the top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel Overview:

The control panel features touch-sensitive buttons and indicator lights for various functions.

  • POWER: Turns the unit On/Off.
  • SPEED: Cycles through Low, Mid, and High fan speeds.
  • COOLER: Activates the cooling function (water evaporation).
  • TIMER: Sets the auto-off timer (e.g., 1H, 2H, 4H).
  • SWING: Activates the 120-degree oscillation function for wider air distribution.

Basic Operation:

  1. Power On: Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. The unit will start in a default fan speed.
  2. Adjust Fan Speed: Press the SPEED button repeatedly to cycle through Low, Mid, and High fan speeds.
  3. Activate Cooling: Press the COOLER button to enable the evaporative cooling function. Ensure the water tank is filled and ice packs are in place for optimal cooling.
  4. Set Timer: Press the TIMER button to set the desired operating time before the unit automatically turns off. Available settings include 1 hour, 2 hours, and 4 hours.
  5. Enable Oscillation: Press the SWING button to activate the 120-degree oscillation feature, which helps distribute cool air more evenly across the room. Press again to stop oscillation.
  6. Power Off: Press the POWER button again to turn off the unit.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

Cleaning the Exterior:

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Water Tank Maintenance:

  • Empty and clean the water tank regularly to prevent mold and mildew growth.
  • Remove the water tank (if detachable) and wash it with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
  • For units with non-detachable tanks, drain the water and wipe the interior with a damp cloth.
  • Ensure the tank is completely dry before refilling or storing the unit.

Air Filter Cleaning:

  • Locate the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
  • Gently remove the filter.
  • Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it with mild soap and water.
  • Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it.
