3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the EliteBloom X1 device from its packaging.
- Place the device on a stable, flat surface or mount it securely to a wall at an appropriate height for user access.
- Ensure the placement allows for easy access to the power port and USB port.
3.2 Power Connection
- Locate the DC5V power input port on the side of the device.
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC5V port.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The device will power on automatically.

3.3 Initial Configuration
- Upon first power-on, the device may prompt you to set the date, time, and language. Follow the on-screen instructions using the keypad.
- Navigate to the 'Menu' using the dedicated button.
- Set up an administrator fingerprint or password for secure access to system settings. This is crucial for managing users and device configurations.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 User Registration (Fingerprint/Password)
- Access the 'User Management' section from the main menu (requires administrator access).
- Select 'Add User' or 'Register'.
- Enter a unique User ID for the new employee.
- To register a fingerprint: Place the employee's finger on the scanner. The device will prompt for multiple scans (typically 3 times) to ensure accurate registration. Follow the on-screen prompts.
- To register a password: Enter a numerical password using the keypad and confirm it.
- Save the user information.
4.2 Recording Attendance
- When the device is in standby mode, employees can record their attendance.
- For fingerprint authentication: Place the registered finger on the scanner. A successful scan will be indicated by a visual and/or audible confirmation.
- For password authentication: Enter the User ID, then press 'OK', then enter the password and press 'OK' again.
- The device will display the attendance record confirmation.
4.3 Downloading Attendance Reports
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the side of the device.
- Access the 'Report' or 'Data Management' section from the main menu (requires administrator access).
- Select 'Download Report' or 'Export Data'.
- Choose the desired date range for the report.
- Confirm the download. The device will generate a report file (e.g., Excel format) on the USB drive.
- Safely remove the USB drive after the download is complete.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device's screen and fingerprint scanner. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or liquids that could damage the components.
- Environment: Keep the device in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive dust.
- Data Backup: Regularly download attendance data to a U-disk to ensure data integrity and prevent loss.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working electrical outlet. Check the power cable for any damage.
- Fingerprint Recognition Failure: Ensure the finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering the fingerprint if issues persist. Ensure the finger is placed correctly on the scanner.
- Cannot Access Menu: Verify that you are using an administrator fingerprint or password. If the administrator access is lost, refer to the advanced settings or contact support for reset procedures.
- U-disk Data Transfer Issues: Ensure the U-disk is formatted correctly (FAT32 is generally recommended). Try a different U-disk. Ensure the U-disk is inserted fully into the port.
- Incorrect Time/Date: Access the system settings via the menu (administrator access required) and adjust the date and time manually.
