1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the GARDEBRUK® Greenhouse. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new greenhouse. Designed for garden enthusiasts, this high-quality greenhouse offers an optimal environment for cultivating plants, vegetables, and herbs.

The GARDEBRUK® Greenhouse features anodized aluminum profiles and heat-insulating hollow chamber sheets, ensuring durability and efficient temperature regulation. It includes a large sliding door and two roof windows for excellent air circulation, along with a rain gutter system for water collection. Additional struts and mounting brackets enhance stability against wind and snow loads.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before assembly and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses during assembly.
• Ensure the assembly area is clear of obstructions and well-lit.
• Do not attempt to assemble the greenhouse alone. Two or more people are recommended for safe assembly.
• Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.
• Verify all parts are present and undamaged before beginning assembly. Do not use damaged parts.
• Securely anchor the greenhouse to the ground using the provided base and anchoring system to prevent wind damage.
• Be cautious when handling polycarbonate panels as edges may be sharp.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup & Assembly

Assembly requires careful attention to detail. Follow the steps below in sequence. It is highly recommended to have at least two people for assembly.

4.1 Site Preparation

1. Choose a Level Location: Select a flat, level area in your garden that receives adequate sunlight. Ensure good drainage.
2. Clear the Area: Remove any debris, rocks, or vegetation from the chosen site.
3. Consider Orientation: Orient the greenhouse to maximize sunlight exposure for your plants, typically facing south.

4.2 Base Assembly

The galvanized steel base provides stability and prevents the greenhouse from sinking into soft ground.

1. Assemble Base Frame: Connect the galvanized steel base components according to the diagrams in your specific instruction manual. Use the provided T-connectors to form a rigid rectangular frame.
2. Level the Base: Ensure the assembled base is perfectly level and square. Adjust as necessary.
3. Anchor the Base: Securely anchor the base to the ground using appropriate methods for your soil type. The T-connectors are designed for ground anchoring.

4.3 Frame Assembly

Carefully connect the aluminum profiles to form the main structure of the greenhouse.

1. Assemble Wall Sections: Begin by assembling the vertical and horizontal aluminum profiles for the side walls. Use the self-locking screws and mounting brackets as indicated in the manual.
2. Attach Wall Sections to Base: Securely attach the assembled wall sections to the galvanized steel base.
3. Assemble Roof Structure: Construct the roof frame using the designated aluminum profiles. Pay attention to the angles and connections for the roof windows.
4. Attach Roof Structure: Carefully lift and attach the assembled roof structure to the wall sections. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

4.4 Panel Installation

Install the polycarbonate hollow chamber sheets into the assembled frame.

1. Insert Wall Panels: Slide the polycarbonate wall panels into the designated channels of the aluminum frame. Ensure they are seated correctly and securely.
2. Install Roof Panels: Carefully place the polycarbonate roof panels into the roof frame. Secure them with the appropriate clips or fasteners.

4.5 Door and Window Installation

Install the sliding door and roof windows for access and ventilation.

1. Assemble Sliding Door: Follow the instructions to assemble the sliding door and its track system.
2. Install Sliding Door: Mount the assembled sliding door onto the frame. Ensure it slides smoothly and the locking mechanism functions correctly.
3. Install Roof Windows: Attach the two roof window assemblies to the designated openings in the roof. Test their opening and closing mechanisms.
4. Install Rain Gutter: Attach the rain gutter components along the eaves of the greenhouse, ensuring the water drainage hole is positioned correctly for water collection.

After completing all steps, double-check all connections and fasteners to ensure the greenhouse is stable and secure.

5. Operating Instructions

Proper operation of your greenhouse will ensure optimal growing conditions for your plants.

• Ventilation: Utilize the two roof windows and the sliding door to control air circulation and temperature. Open them during warm periods to prevent overheating and reduce humidity. Close them during colder periods or at night to retain heat.
• Temperature Control: Monitor the internal temperature regularly. The greenhouse is designed to withstand temperatures from -25 °C to +60 °C. Adjust ventilation as needed to maintain desired growing temperatures.
• Watering: Water plants as required. The rain gutter system allows for collection of rainwater, which can be used for irrigation. Position a suitable container under the drainage hole to collect water.
• Pest and Disease Management: Regularly inspect plants for signs of pests or diseases. Good ventilation helps prevent fungal issues.
• Security: Use the door's locking mechanism to secure the greenhouse when not in use.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your GARDEBRUK® Greenhouse.

• Cleaning: Clean the polycarbonate panels periodically with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or brushes that could scratch the surface. Rinse thoroughly.
• Frame Inspection: Annually inspect the aluminum frame for any signs of corrosion, loose screws, or damage. Tighten any loose fasteners.
• Panel Inspection: Check polycarbonate panels for cracks or damage. Replace damaged panels to maintain insulation and structural integrity.
• Door and Window Tracks: Keep the sliding door and roof window tracks clean and free of debris to ensure smooth operation. Lubricate if necessary.
• Rain Gutter: Clear the rain gutter and drainage hole of any leaves or debris to ensure proper water flow.
• Winterization (if applicable): In regions with heavy snowfall, consider reinforcing the roof or clearing snow regularly to prevent excessive load. Ensure all doors and windows are securely closed during strong winds or storms.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your greenhouse.

• Issue: Greenhouse feels unstable or wobbly.

  Solution: Ensure the base is perfectly level and securely anchored to the ground. Check all frame connections and tighten any loose screws or bolts. Verify that all additional struts are correctly installed.

• Issue: Sliding door is difficult to open or close.

  Solution: Inspect the door tracks for any debris (dirt, leaves, small stones) and clean them thoroughly. Check if the door is properly aligned on its track. Lubricate the track with a silicone-based spray if needed.

• Issue: Water leakage inside the greenhouse.

  Solution: Check the sealing around the polycarbonate panels. Ensure all panels are fully seated in their channels and that any sealing strips or gaskets are properly installed. Inspect the roof windows for proper closure and sealing. Verify the rain gutter is not clogged.
• Issue: Poor air circulation or excessive heat buildup.

  Solution: Ensure both roof windows are fully operational and open them during warm periods. Keep the sliding door open as much as possible to facilitate airflow. Consider adding additional passive or active ventilation if needed for your climate.
