1. Product Overview

1.2. Package Contents

2. Installation (Setup)

Important Safety Notice: Before beginning any installation or maintenance, ensure the lawn mower engine is turned off, cool, and the spark plug wire is disconnected to prevent accidental starting. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection.

This carburetor kit is designed for direct replacement. While installation is generally straightforward, it requires basic mechanical knowledge and tools. If you are unsure about any step, it is recommended to consult a qualified service technician.

2.1. Preparation

1. Park the lawn mower on a flat, level surface.
2. Ensure the engine is cool to the touch.
3. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug to prevent accidental ignition.

4. Secure the carburetor with the mounting bolts or nuts. Do not overtighten.
5. Reconnect the throttle linkage, choke linkage, and governor springs to their correct positions, referring to your earlier photos if necessary.
6. Reconnect the fuel line to the carburetor. Ensure the connection is secure and free of leaks.
7. Install the new fuel filter (red) in the fuel line if your mower uses an inline filter. Ensure the flow direction arrow on the filter points towards the carburetor.
8. Replace the old air filter with the new foam and pleated paper air filters provided in the kit. Ensure they are correctly seated in the air filter housing.
9. Replace the old spark plug with the new spark plug provided. Hand-tighten, then use a spark plug wrench to tighten an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Do not overtighten.

2.4. Post-Installation Check

1. Double-check all connections for tightness and proper routing.
2. Ensure there are no fuel leaks.
3. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
4. Add fresh fuel to the tank if necessary.
5. Attempt to start the engine according to your lawn mower's operating instructions.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Fuel System Maintenance

• Use Fresh Fuel: Always use fresh, clean gasoline. Stale fuel can lead to gum and varnish deposits in the carburetor, causing performance issues.
• Fuel Stabilizer: If storing the mower for extended periods, use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation.
• Fuel Filter: The included fuel filter should be replaced annually or more frequently if fuel contamination is suspected. A clogged fuel filter restricts fuel flow to the carburetor.
