2. Safety Information

The OEMIRY CF04 system includes both a countertop water filtration unit and a whole house pre-filtration unit, designed to provide comprehensive water purification for your home.

4. Installation

4.1 Countertop Water Filtration System Installation

The countertop system is designed for easy installation directly onto your kitchen faucet. Ensure your faucet type is compatible before proceeding.

Installation Steps:

1. Unscrew the aerator from your existing faucet.
2. Select the appropriate adapter from the provided kit that matches your faucet thread.
3. Screw the adapter onto your faucet.
4. Connect the countertop filter's diverter valve to the installed adapter.
5. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened to prevent leaks.
6. Flush the filter for 5-10 minutes before first use to remove any carbon fines.

4.2 Whole House Water Filtration System Installation

The whole house system is installed on your main water line to filter all incoming water. Professional installation is recommended.

Installation Guidelines:

1. Choose a suitable location on your main water line, preferably after the main shut-off valve and before the water heater.
2. Ensure adequate clearance (at least 3 inches below the housing) for future filter replacements.
3. Turn off the main water supply and drain the pipes.
4. Cut into the main water line and install the filter housing using the appropriate 1" NPT or 3/4" NPT fittings.
5. Ensure the water flow direction matches the arrows on the filter head.
6. Apply thread sealant to all threaded connections to prevent leaks.
7. Slowly turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
8. Flush the system for several minutes to remove air and carbon fines.

5. Operation

5.1 Countertop System Operation

Once installed, simply turn on your faucet and use the diverter valve on the countertop unit to select between filtered and unfiltered water. For filtered water, ensure the diverter valve is set to direct water through the filter.

5.2 Whole House System Operation

The whole house system operates continuously once installed on your main water line, providing filtered water to all outlets in your home. No user interaction is required for daily operation.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Countertop Filter Replacement

The countertop filter cartridge (OM-RF02) has a service life of 9-12 months or 8,000 gallons, depending on water quality and usage. Replace the filter when flow rate significantly decreases or after the recommended period.

Remove the expired filter from the system. 4. Insert a new filter into the base. 5. Screw the filter cover into the base by wrench.

Replacement Steps:

1. Turn off the water supply to the countertop unit.
2. Open the top cover of the unit.
3. Use the provided wrench to unscrew the filter cover.
4. Carefully remove the old filter cartridge.
5. Insert the new OEMIRY OM-RF02 filter cartridge into the base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
6. Screw the filter cover back on with the wrench until snug. Do not overtighten.
7. Turn on the water supply and flush the new filter for 5-10 minutes.

6.2 Whole House Filter Replacement

The whole house sediment filter (OM-URF03-1) typically lasts for 6 months. Actual filter life may vary based on water quality.

Replacement Steps:

1. Turn off the main water supply to your home.
2. Open a nearby faucet to relieve pressure in the system.
3. Use the provided filter wrench to unscrew the filter housing.
4. Remove the old sediment filter and discard it.
5. Clean the inside of the filter housing with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
6. Insert a new OEMIRY OM-URF03-1 filter cartridge into the housing, ensuring it is centered.
7. Lubricate the O-ring with a small amount of silicone grease (food-grade) if necessary, and place it correctly in the groove.
8. Screw the housing back onto the filter head by hand, then tighten with the wrench for a snug fit. Do not overtighten.
9. Slowly turn on the main water supply, checking for leaks.
10. Flush the system for several minutes to remove any trapped air or carbon fines.

7. Troubleshooting

• Low Water Flow: This often indicates a clogged filter. Replace the filter cartridge. Ensure the main water supply is fully open.
• Leaks: Check all connections for tightness. Ensure O-rings are properly seated and not damaged. If a leak persists, turn off the water supply and re-install the component.
• Unusual Taste/Odor: If this occurs shortly after installation, flush the system for a longer period. If it occurs after extended use, the filter may be exhausted and requires replacement.
