4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Keeping Food Warm
- Ensure the chafing dish is fully assembled as per Section 3.
- Fill the water pan with approximately 1-2 inches of hot water. This creates a steam bath to gently heat the food.
- Place the fuel holder(s) under the water pan in the designated fuel rack tray. Open the fuel can(s) and light the wick(s) carefully.
- Place the food pan containing pre-cooked, hot food into the water pan.
- Cover with the lid to retain heat and moisture.
- Monitor the water level in the water pan and replenish with hot water as needed to prevent it from drying out.
4.2. Keeping Food Cold
- Ensure the chafing dish is fully assembled as per Section 3, but do not use fuel holders.
- Fill the water pan with ice and a small amount of cold water.
- Place the food pan containing pre-chilled food into the water pan.
- Cover with the lid to maintain cold temperatures.
- Replenish ice as it melts to ensure consistent cooling.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your chafing dish set.
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the chafing dish to cool completely. Remove all food residue. Wash the food pan, water pan, and lid with warm water and a mild dish soap. Use a soft sponge or cloth to avoid scratching the stainless steel surface.
- Frame Cleaning: Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly.
- Rinsing and Drying: Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water. Immediately dry all parts with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots and potential corrosion.
- Storage: The chafing dish features a space-saving, stackable design. Once clean and dry, disassemble the units and stack them neatly for compact storage. Store in a dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
- Food not staying warm: Ensure sufficient hot water is in the water pan. Verify that the fuel cans are lit and providing adequate heat. Check if the lid is properly closed to prevent heat escape.
- Food not staying cold: Ensure enough ice is in the water pan. Replenish ice frequently as it melts. Keep the lid closed when not serving.
- Missing parts upon arrival: Carefully check all packaging materials. If parts are genuinely missing, contact VEVOR customer support immediately with your purchase details.
- Loose frame screws: Periodically inspect and tighten any loose screws on the folding frame to ensure stability.
- Rust spots on components: Stainless steel can develop rust spots if not dried properly after washing or if exposed to harsh chemicals. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried after cleaning and stored in a dry environment. For existing spots, a stainless steel cleaner may be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. If rust appears on new items, contact customer support.
- Chafing dish appears unstable or 'wonky': Re-check the assembly steps to ensure all components are correctly seated and the frame is fully extended and locked. If the issue persists and appears to be a manufacturing defect, contact VEVOR customer support.
