4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
- Inspect the machine for any damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Clean all removable parts (water tank, bean hopper, portafilter, filter baskets, milk jug) with warm soapy water, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
4.2 Placement

4.3 Water Tank Installation and Filling

- Remove the detachable water tank from the back or side of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold, filtered water up to the MAX line. Do not use hot water or other liquids.
- Securely place the water tank back into its position.
4.4 Bean Hopper Installation and Filling

- Ensure the bean hopper is clean and dry.
- Place the bean hopper onto the top of the machine, aligning it correctly.
- Fill the hopper with fresh, whole coffee beans. Do not overfill.
- Close the hopper lid securely.
4.5 Initial Cleaning Cycle (First Use)
Before first use, or after a long period of inactivity, perform a cleaning cycle without coffee to flush the system.
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a large container under the brewing head and steam wand.
- Turn on the machine. Allow it to preheat.
- Run a cycle of hot water through the brewing head by selecting a double shot without coffee in the portafilter.
- Activate the steam wand to release hot water for a few seconds.
- Repeat this process 2-3 times.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- Press the POWER button to turn the machine on. The machine will begin preheating.
- Wait for the indicator lights to stabilize, indicating the machine is ready for use.
- To turn off, press the POWER button again.
5.2 Grinding Coffee Beans

- Select Grind Setting: Rotate the grind adjustment knob (located on the bean hopper) to choose your desired grind size. Settings range from 0 (finest) to 30 (coarsest). For espresso, a fine grind (typically 5-10) is recommended.
- Attach Dosing Funnel: Place the dosing funnel (powder ring) onto the portafilter to prevent coffee grounds from scattering during grinding.
- Grind: Insert the portafilter with the dosing funnel into the grinding outlet. The grinder will activate automatically. Grind the desired amount of coffee.
5.3 Brewing Espresso

- Prepare Portafilter: Insert either the single or double cup filter screen into the portafilter.
- Add Ground Coffee: Fill the filter basket with freshly ground coffee. Use the dosing funnel to minimize mess.
- Tamp: Use the included powder hammer (tamper) to tamp the coffee grounds firmly and evenly. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the portafilter.
- Attach Portafilter: Securely attach the portafilter to the brewing head by inserting it and rotating it to the right until it is tight.
- Place Cups: Position one or two espresso cups on the drip tray beneath the portafilter spouts.
- Select Shot: Press the SINGLE SHOT or DOUBLE SHOT button to start brewing. The machine will automatically dispense the programmed amount of espresso.
- Adjust Temperature (Optional): If the coffee system is in keep warm mode, long-press the designated button to access five adjustable temperature levels for brewing.
5.4 Milk Frothing

- Fill Milk Jug: Fill the stainless steel milk jug with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Activate Steam: Turn the steam function knob to the steam position. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate, indicating it's ready.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam valve to release any condensed water. Close it immediately.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve. Angle the jug to create a swirling motion.
- Monitor Temperature: Continue frothing until the milk reaches the desired temperature and texture (typically 140-150°F / 60-65°C).
- Stop Steaming: Close the steam valve, then remove the milk jug.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam valve again to clear any internal milk.
5.5 Hot Water Function
- Place a cup under the steam wand.
- Turn the steam function knob to the hot water position. Hot water will dispense from the steam wand.
- Turn the knob back to the off position to stop the flow.
5.6 Self-Cleaning Function
- The machine features a self-cleaning mode to remove coffee oils and bacteria, ensuring consistent flavor.
- Refer to the control panel for the specific self-cleaning button or sequence. Typically, this involves pressing and holding a designated button.

- Run the remaining solution through the steam wand by activating the hot water function.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
- Repeat steps 3-5 with fresh water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
