Image: Diagram showing the two drainage methods for the YTE PRO Dehumidifier: manual drainage into the 1.13-gallon water tank and continuous drainage using the 3.28ft hose.

6.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)

The unit features a 1.13-gallon (4.28-liter) removable water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and an indicator light will signal that the tank needs to be emptied.

  1. Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  2. Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
  3. Empty the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty water tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

6.2 Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose)

For hands-free operation, you can connect the included 3.28ft (1-meter) drain hose for continuous drainage.

  1. Locate the continuous drainage outlet on the back of the dehumidifier.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper from the outlet.
  3. Firmly attach one end of the drain hose to the outlet.
  4. Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket, or sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water effectively.
  5. Verify that the hose is securely connected and there are no kinks that could obstruct water flow.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

7.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The dehumidifier features a washable filter that should be cleaned regularly (approximately every two weeks or as needed).

  1. Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter on the back of the unit.
  3. Gently pull out the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with clean water (not hotter than 40°C / 104°F) and a mild detergent.
  5. Rinse thoroughly and allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
  6. Once dry, slide the filter back into its slot.

7.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

Clean the water tank periodically to prevent mold and mildew growth.

  1. Remove the water tank as described in the manual drainage section.
  2. Wash the tank with warm water and a mild detergent.
  3. Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing it back into the unit.

7.3 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

7.4 Storage

If the unit will not be used for an extended period:

  1. Empty and clean the water tank.
  2. Clean the air filter.
  3. Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
