4. Setup Guide
4.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal battery using the provided USB cable and a 5V/2A power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will turn off once fully charged.
4.2 App Download & Account Registration
- Scan the QR code on the packaging or search for "CloudEdge" (or specified app name) in your mobile app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android).
- Download and install the app.
- Open the app and register a new account using your email address. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration.
4.3 Camera Pairing
- Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported).
- Power on the camera. You will hear a prompt indicating it's ready for pairing.
- In the app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select your camera model from the list. The app may use Bluetooth for faster connection.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This usually involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone screen with the camera lens.
- Once connected, you can name your camera and begin live viewing.
4.4 Mounting the Camera
Choose a suitable location for installation, ensuring good Wi-Fi signal strength and sufficient sunlight exposure for the solar panel. The camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.
- Mark the drilling positions using the mounting bracket as a template.
- Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall/ceiling with screws.
- Attach the camera to the mounting bracket and adjust its angle for optimal coverage.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View
Open the CloudEdge app and tap on your camera's name to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage from anywhere with an internet connection.
5.2 PTZ Control
On the live view screen, use the directional controls (joystick or arrows) to pan the camera horizontally (355°) and tilt it vertically (120°) to adjust the viewing angle.
5.3 Two-Way Audio
Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker. Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.
5.4 Motion Detection & Alerts
The camera will automatically detect motion (PIR) and send push notifications to your phone. You can customize detection sensitivity and alert settings in the app.
