User Manual: Replacement Remote Control for Richmat Adjustable Bed

1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of your new replacement remote control for Richmat adjustable beds. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper functionality and to avoid any issues.

Important Note: This remote control is specifically designed for Richmat adjustable beds with the control box model 200-0007, SN18C191047717. It will not work with other control box models, including OKIN boxes. Ensure your current remote has identical buttons to this replacement.

2. Important Compatibility Check

Before attempting to use or pair this remote, it is crucial to verify its compatibility with your adjustable bed's control box. This remote only fits for control box 200-0007, SN18C191047717.

If you are unsure, please provide clear pictures of your control box (front & back) and your old remote control to the seller for verification. This will help ensure you have the correct replacement item.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery cover downwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2 Pairing Method

The remote control must be paired with your adjustable bed's control box to function. There are two common pairing methods. Please refer to the manual for your specific bed base if these methods do not work.

Pairing Method 1:

The original remote that comes in the box is already paired to the foundation. No further action is required. In the event that the remote is not paired with the base, begin by checking the following:

1. Step 1: Ensure the remote batteries are functioning. Replace if necessary.
2. Step 2: Unplug power cord from wall, wait a few seconds and then plug back in.
3. Step 3: Within 10 seconds, press and hold the Head Down and Foot Up buttons simultaneously until LED light on the control box flashes.

Pairing Method 2:

1. Step 1: Ensure the remote batteries are functioning. Replace if necessary.
2. Step 2: Ensure the power cord is plugged into a powered source.
3. Step 3: Press and hold the HEAD Down and FOOT UP buttons simultaneously. Then ALSO press and hold the blue button on the control box cord until you hear 2 beeps. The remote is now paired.

4. Operating Instructions

Once paired, your remote control allows you to adjust your bed's position and access preset functions. Familiarize yourself with the buttons:

• Head Up/Down: Adjusts the head section of the bed upwards or downwards.
• Foot Up/Down: Adjusts the foot section of the bed upwards or downwards.
• P1 (Preset 1): Activates a pre-programmed position.
• P2 (Preset 2): Activates another pre-programmed position.
• Light: Controls an integrated light function (if available on your bed model).
• FLAT: Returns the bed to a completely flat position.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your remote control, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always use new AAA batteries.
• Storage: Store the remote in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
