4.2. Firing
Once the magazine is loaded with BBs and gas, and inserted into the airsoft gun:
- Ensure the safety selector is set to your desired firing mode (SEMI or AUTO).
- Aim at a safe target.
- Pull the trigger to fire.
- When finished, always set the safety selector to SAFE and remove the magazine.
4.3. Hop-Up Adjustment
The adjustable hop-up system applies backspin to the BB, increasing its range and accuracy. The hop-up adjustment is typically located near the barrel or within the ejection port.
- To adjust, locate the hop-up adjustment dial or lever.
- Fire a few test shots to observe the BB's trajectory.
- Adjust the hop-up incrementally: increasing hop-up will cause the BB to fly higher, while decreasing it will cause it to drop faster.
- Fine-tune until the BB flies straight for the desired distance.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your airsoft gun.
5.1. Cleaning
- Barrel Cleaning: Use a cleaning rod with a small piece of cloth and silicone oil to clean the inner barrel after each use.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior with a clean, dry cloth to remove dirt and debris.
5.2. Lubrication
- Apply a small amount of silicone oil to moving parts such as the bolt carrier, recoil spring, and magazine valves.
- Do NOT use petroleum-based lubricants, as they can damage rubber and plastic components.
5.3. Storage
Store the airsoft gun in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the magazine is empty of BBs and gas before storage.
