Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Mouse

Regular cleaning helps maintain performance and hygiene. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse. For dust in crevices or the magnesium alloy shell, use compressed air or a soft brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Charge the mouse when the battery indicator suggests low power. Store the mouse in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

  • Mouse not responding: Ensure the mouse is charged and powered on. For wireless connection, check that the dongle is securely plugged in and the mouse is within range. Try reconnecting the USB-C cable for wired mode.
  • Intermittent connection: Move the dongle closer to the mouse or use a USB extender to reduce interference. Ensure no other wireless devices are causing signal disruption.
  • Tracking issues: Clean the mouse sensor with a soft cloth. Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface (a mouse pad is recommended). Adjust DPI settings if tracking feels too fast or slow.
  • Buttons not working: Check button assignments in the software. If using optical switches, ensure no debris is obstructing the optical path.
  • Battery draining quickly: Reduce the polling rate in the software (e.g., from 8KHz to 4KHz or 1KHz) to conserve battery life. Ensure the mouse is turned off when not in use.
