The nylon slip-thru strap is designed for comfort and adjustability. To adjust the strap:

  1. Thread the long end of the strap through the two spring bars on the watch case.
  2. Pass the strap through the buckle and adjust it to your desired wrist circumference.
  3. If the excess strap is too long, fold it back and tuck it into the keepers for a secure fit.

5. Operating the Watch

5.1 Reading the Time

The watch features a clear analog display with both 12-hour and 24-hour (military) markings. The luminous hands and hour markers ensure visibility in various lighting conditions.

5.2 Water Resistance

The Bomieux L6696 watch is rated for 5ATM (50 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for:

  • Splashes
  • Handwashing
  • Rain

It is not recommended for swimming, diving, or prolonged water immersion. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet to prevent water ingress.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. The nylon strap can be gently hand-washed with mild soap and water, then air-dried.
  • Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to harsh chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the case, strap, or internal components.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, which can affect its accuracy and water resistance.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch uses a quartz movement. If the watch stops running, the battery may need replacement. This should be performed by a qualified watch technician to maintain water resistance.
