Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your yifaeux Kids Study Desk and Chair Set. It is recommended to have two adults for assembly.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Identify all components against the package contents list.
2. Assemble Desk Frame: Attach the desk legs to the main desk frame using the provided screws and the installation tools kit. Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Install Desk Top: Secure the desk top to the assembled frame. Pay attention to the orientation for the drawer and reading stand placement.
4. Attach Drawer and Reading Stand: Slide the large capacity drawer into its designated slot. Attach the tiltable reading stand to the desk top.
5. Assemble Chair: Connect the chair seat, backrest, and legs. Ensure the chair's height adjustment mechanism is correctly installed.
6. Install LED Table Light: Mount the LED table light onto the designated port on the desk. Connect it as per the instructions for the light unit.

Operating Instructions

1. Height Adjustment (Desk and Chair)

Both the desk and chair are designed with adjustable heights to accommodate children of various ages and sizes. This feature ensures ergonomic posture and comfort.

• Desk Height Adjustment: Locate the lift control mechanisms on the desk legs (refer to Figure 2). Loosen the locking knobs, adjust the desk to the desired height (between 62cm and 73cm), and then securely tighten the knobs.
• Chair Height Adjustment: Similar to the desk, the chair has adjustment points on its legs. Loosen the fasteners, set the chair to a comfortable height (between 41cm and 48cm) where the child's feet can rest flat on the floor or footrest, and then tighten the fasteners.

Note: Always ensure the child is not on the chair or leaning on the desk when adjusting heights to prevent injury.

2. Tiltable Reading Stand

The integrated reading stand can be adjusted to an optimal angle for reading or holding a tablet, reducing neck strain.

• Adjusting Angle: Gently lift the reading stand to release its locking mechanism. Adjust it to the preferred tilt angle and ensure it clicks into place securely.
• Securing Items: Use the clips or ledge at the bottom of the stand to hold books or tablets in place.

3. LED Table Light

The eye-protection LED lamp provides soft, uniform illumination for studying, protecting your child's eyes.

• Power On/Off: Use the power button located on the lamp base to turn the light on or off.
• Adjusting Brightness/Color Temperature: If applicable, use the touch controls on the lamp base to cycle through brightness levels or color temperatures.
• Positioning: The flexible arm allows you to adjust the light's direction to illuminate the work area effectively.

4. Storage Drawer

The large capacity drawer (also referred to as "big book hopper") provides convenient storage for books, pencils, crayons, and other study materials.

• Accessing: Simply pull the drawer out from underneath the desk surface.
• Organization: Utilize the space to keep study essentials organized and within reach.

Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your study set.

• Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution and immediately dry with a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Material Care: The desk features a waterproof and scratch-resistant surface with a diffuse reflection layer over a healthy wood layer and furniture veneer. Avoid sharp objects that could scratch the surface.
