Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the probe and booster unit using the provided USB-C cable. The probe charges in 1 hour, and the booster in 2 hours.

2. Download the CulinaTech Mobile App

Scan the QR code in the included instruction leaflet or search for "CulinaTech" in your device's app store (iOS/Android).

3. Pairing the Device

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and location services are active for the app.
  2. Take the probe out of the booster unit.
  3. Open the CulinaTech Mobile App and follow the on-screen prompts to add the device. Wait for the probe and booster to connect with your phone.

Operation

App Quick Start Guide:

  1. Take the probe out of the booster.
  2. Open the CulinaTech Mobile App (ensure Bluetooth and location are on), add the device, and wait for the probe and booster to match with your phone.
  3. Set the target temperature on the app and insert the probe into the meat.
  4. Wait for the alarm on your phone, then remove the food and probe.

Booster Quick Start Guide (Manual Control):

  1. Take the probe out of the booster.
  2. Long press the "SET" button to enter the temperature setting page. Use the "+/-" buttons to set the target temperature, then short press "SET" to confirm and exit.
  3. Insert the probe into the meat.
  4. Wait for the alarm on the booster, then remove the food and probe.

Setting Target Temperature:

The app offers intelligent cooking recommendations for various meat types (Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Pork, Mutton, Fish, Duck, Goose, Lobster, Ostrich, Venison, Ham). Select your desired meat and doneness level, and the app will suggest a target temperature. You can also manually adjust the target temperature.

Monitoring:

Monitor both internal meat temperature and ambient cooking temperature in real-time via the app or the booster's LCD screen. The app provides live cooking updates and a temperature progress chart.

Wireless Range Information

  • Probe to Booster: Up to 300ft (91m) for open cooking equipment. For enclosed cooking equipment (e.g., ovens, smokers), the range is reduced to 6.6~33ft (2-10m) due to metal shielding.
  • Booster to Smartphone: Up to 450ft (137m) via Bluetooth for reliable, extended monitoring.

Note: The app does not display ambient temperatures below 104°F (40°C) as this is a high-temperature device.

Useful Tips

  • To ensure alarms function correctly, keep the CulinaTech App running in the background.
  • Turn off your phone’s battery saver mode to prevent app interruptions.
  • For accurate readings, insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

The probe is IPX7 water submersible and boil-proof, making it easy to clean. Rinse the probe under running water. Do not immerse the booster unit in water.

Storage:

Store the probe securely within the booster unit when not in use. Store the unit in a dry place.

Troubleshooting

  • No Connection: Ensure the probe is fully inserted into the booster, both devices are charged, Bluetooth is on, and the app has location permissions. Check the distance between the probe, booster, and smartphone.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Verify the probe is inserted into the thickest part of the meat and not touching bone.
  • App Alarms Not Functioning: Confirm the app is running in the background and battery saver mode is disabled on your phone.
