  1. Prepare the Bag: Place the food item into a vacuum seal bag, ensuring at least 2-3 inches of empty space at the top of the bag. Make sure the open end of the bag is clean and dry.
  2. Position the Bag: Open the lid of the vacuum sealer. Place the open end of the bag flat into the vacuum sealing strip area, ensuring it is centered and smooth.
  3. Close and Lock: Close the lid firmly. Apply firm pressure to both sides of the lid until you hear a distinct click, indicating it is locked.
  4. Select Mode (if applicable) and Start:
    • For most dry foods, simply press the "Vacuum Seal" button. The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag.
    • For moist or delicate foods, select the appropriate mode (see 6.2 Dry/Wet Modes).
  5. Monitor and Release: The digital countdown display will show the progress. Once the process is complete, press the lid release buttons on both sides to open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

6.2 Dry/Wet Modes:

The GJX Vacuum Sealer features modes optimized for different food types.

  • Dry Mode: Ideal for solid items with no moisture, such as nuts, grains, cheese, and dried fruits. This mode provides a standard vacuum and seal.
  • Wet Mode: Suitable for moist foods like raw or marinated meats, seafood, and fruits with high water content. This mode adjusts the vacuum pressure and sealing time to prevent liquid from being drawn into the machine and ensures a strong seal.

To select a mode, press the corresponding button on the control panel before initiating the vacuum sealing process.

6.3 Sealing Only:

This function allows you to seal bags without vacuuming, useful for creating custom-sized bags from a roll or resealing snack bags.

  1. Place the open end of the bag onto the sealing bar.
  2. Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
  3. Press the "Seal Only" button. The machine will heat and seal the bag without removing air.
  4. Once complete, press the lid release buttons and remove the sealed bag.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your vacuum sealer.

7.1 Cleaning the Appliance:

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Wipe Exterior: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap to wipe the exterior of the machine. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers.
  3. Clean Vacuum Channel: If any liquid or food particles enter the vacuum channel, carefully wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before next use.
  4. Clean Sealing Bar: Gently wipe the sealing bar with a dry cloth. Do not touch the sealing bar when it is hot.
  5. Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or using the appliance again.

7.2 Storage:

Store the vacuum sealer in a cool, dry place with the lid unlatched to prevent compression of the sealing gaskets, which can affect performance over time.
