Setup

1. Download the Vivitar Smart Security 2 App

Search for "Vivitar Smart Security 2" in the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices) and download the application. Create an account or log in if you already have one.

2. Power On the Camera

  1. Connect the supplied power adapter to the camera's power input port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Wait for the camera's indicator light to flash, indicating it is ready for pairing.

3. Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the Vivitar Smart Security 2 app on your smartphone.
  2. Tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
  3. Select "Security Camera" or the specific model if prompted.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This typically involves scanning a QR code generated by the app with the camera's lens.

4. Mounting the Camera

Choose a suitable outdoor location that provides a clear view of the area you wish to monitor and is within range of your Wi-Fi network and a power source.

  1. Mark the desired drilling spots using the camera's mounting base as a template.
  2. Drill pilot holes and insert the provided wall anchors if mounting on drywall or masonry.
  3. Secure the camera's mounting base to the surface using the supplied screws.
  4. Adjust the camera angle to cover the desired surveillance area.

Operating the Camera

Live View

From the Vivitar Smart Security 2 app, tap on your camera's name to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage from anywhere with an internet connection.

Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera is equipped with motion detection. When motion is detected, you will receive real-time notifications on your smartphone.

Two-Way Audio

Use the two-way audio feature to communicate with visitors or deter intruders.

Night Vision
