Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically takes 15-20 minutes with two people. No special tools are required.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, flat surface. Identify each part using the Parts List.
- Assemble Base Frame: Connect the shortest frame poles using the appropriate connectors to form the rectangular base of the greenhouse. Ensure all connections are snug.
- Build Vertical Supports: Attach the vertical poles to the base frame using connectors. Follow the diagram in your printed manual (if applicable) to ensure correct orientation for shelf placement.
- Install Shelves: Slide the four wire grid shelves onto the designated support bars. Ensure they are level and stable.
- Construct Roof Frame: Assemble the angled roof poles and connect them to the top of the vertical supports, forming the peaked roof structure.
- Drape PVC Cover: Carefully drape the transparent PVC cover over the assembled frame. Ensure the rolling door is positioned at the front. Align the cover so that the extended 10 cm edge is at the bottom, ready for securing.
- Secure Cover: Fasten the PVC cover to the frame using the integrated ties or straps. Ensure the zipper for the rolling door functions smoothly.
- Anchor Greenhouse: Position the greenhouse in your desired location. Use the provided fastening ropes and mounting nails (ground stakes) to secure the greenhouse to the ground. For added stability, bury the 10 cm extended edge of the PVC cover or place heavy objects on it.
Operating Instructions
The Mobiclinic Garden Greenhouse is designed for optimal plant growth and protection.
- Plant Placement: Utilize the four shelves to organize your plants efficiently. Place taller plants on lower shelves or directly on the ground inside the greenhouse.
- Ventilation: The rolling door with a zipper allows for easy access and temperature regulation. Open the door partially or fully to improve air circulation and prevent excessive moisture buildup, especially on warm days. Close the door during colder periods or adverse weather to retain heat and protect plants.
- Light Transmission: The transparent PVC cover allows ample sunlight to reach your plants, promoting healthy growth.
- Watering: Water plants as needed. Be mindful of humidity levels inside the greenhouse, as they may be higher than outdoors.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your greenhouse.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the PVC cover with a soft cloth and mild soapy water to remove dirt and maintain light transmission. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Frame Inspection: Regularly check all frame connections and joints to ensure they remain secure. Tighten any loose connections.
- Cover Inspection: Inspect the PVC cover for any tears, punctures, or signs of wear. Small tears can often be repaired with clear repair tape designed for plastics.
- Anchoring: Re-check the ground anchors and ropes periodically, especially after strong winds or heavy rain, to ensure the greenhouse remains securely fastened.
- Winter Care: While designed to be hardy, in areas with heavy snowfall, it is advisable to gently brush off accumulated snow from the roof to prevent structural stress.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse unstable/wobbly | Insufficient anchoring; loose frame connections. | Ensure ground stakes are fully inserted and ropes are taut. Bury or weight down the extended edge. Check and tighten all frame connections. |
| Excessive humidity inside | Insufficient ventilation. | Open the rolling door partially or fully to allow for better air circulation. Consider a small fan if needed. |
| Water pooling on cover | Cover not taut; improper frame assembly. | Ensure the PVC cover is stretched tightly over the frame and secured. Re-check roof frame assembly for correct angles. |
| Zipper sticking | Dirt/debris; misalignment. | Clean the zipper teeth. Apply a small amount of zipper lubricant (e.g., silicone spray) if necessary. Ensure the cover is not pulling on the zipper. |
