Setup and Assembly

Assembling your SIHOO M56C chair is a straightforward process. All necessary tools are included. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Verify all components against the parts list provided in the box.
  2. Assemble the Base: Attach the five metal legs to the central sprocket of the chair base. Ensure they are securely fastened with the provided M6x12 bolts (10 pieces, 2 per leg). The base is constructed from all metal for durability.
  3. Install Wheels: Push the five silent, non-marring wheels into the holes at the end of each leg until they click securely into place.
  4. Insert Gas Lift: Place the chrome gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the assembled base. Cover it with the decorative chrome cap.
  5. Attach Lumbar Support to Backrest: Secure the black plastic lumbar support piece to the backrest using the PA6x16 screw.
  6. Connect Backrest Components: Attach the main backrest frame to the lower backrest section. Align the cutouts and secure with the M6x10 bolts (2 pieces). Cover the bolts with the 'SIHOO' branded plastic cover.
  7. Attach Armrests to Seat: Secure the armrests to the underside of the seat cushion using the M6x30 bolts (7 pieces) and their corresponding washers. Note that the armrests are height-adjustable via a push-button mechanism.
  8. Attach Mechanism to Seat: Fasten the main adjustment mechanism to the underside of the seat cushion using the M8x20 bolts (4 pieces) and their washers. Ensure the mechanism is oriented correctly with the adjustment levers facing forward.
  9. Connect Seat Assembly to Base: Carefully lower the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the central hole of the mechanism aligns with the top of the gas lift. Apply gentle pressure to secure.
  10. Install Headrest: Slide the headrest into the designated slot at the top of the backrest. It should click into place. The headrest is adjustable for height and tilt.

Operating Instructions

Your SIHOO M56C chair offers multiple adjustment points to customize your seating experience for optimal comfort and support:

  • Height Adjustment: Use the lever located under the seat (typically on the right side) to raise or lower the chair. Pull the lever up while seated to lower, or pull it up while standing to raise.
  • Tilt Function and Tension: The chair features a dual-tilt mechanism allowing you to recline up to 125°. A knob under the seat (usually at the front) adjusts the tension of the tilt, allowing for easier or firmer rocking motion. A separate lever can lock the chair in an upright position or allow it to recline freely.
  • Dynamic Lumbar Support: The 3D adaptive lumbar pillow flexes with your movements, providing continuous support to your lower back and spine.
  • Adjustable Headrest: The oversized 2D headrest can be adjusted for both height and tilt to cradle your head and neck, reducing strain during long periods of sitting.
  • Adjustable Armrests: The armrests are height-adjustable. Press the button on the side of the armrest support to move them up or down to your preferred height.
  • W-Shaped Seat Cushion: The ergonomically designed W-shaped seat cushion evenly distributes weight, easing pressure on your hips and thighs for prolonged comfort.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and continued performance of your SIHOO M56C chair, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the mesh and fabric surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and ensure to dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Wheel Care: Periodically check the wheels for any accumulated dust, hair, or debris that might hinder smooth movement. Clean as necessary. The quiet-roll wheels are designed to be safe on both hardwood and carpets.
  • Component Check: Regularly inspect all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent wobbling.
  • Gas Lift: The explosion-proof gas lift is made of steel and tested for durability. No specific user maintenance is required for the gas lift itself, but ensure it operates smoothly for height adjustments.
  • General Care: Avoid exposing the chair to direct sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent material degradation. Do not overload the chair beyond its recommended weight capacity.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your SIHOO M56C chair, please refer to the common problems and solutions below:

  • Chair Not Adjusting Height: Ensure the gas lift lever is fully engaged. If the issue persists, check if the gas lift cylinder is properly seated in the base and the mechanism.
  • Chair Wobbles: Verify that all bolts, especially those connecting the base legs, armrests, and mechanism to the seat, are securely tightened. Re-tighten any loose connections.
  • Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Inspect the wheels for any obstructions like hair or debris. Clean them thoroughly. Ensure the wheels are correctly inserted into the leg sockets.
  • Backrest Not Tilting/Locking: Check the tilt tension knob and the tilt lock lever. Adjust the tension to your preference and ensure the lock lever is in the correct position for tilting or locking.
  • Armrests Not Adjusting: Ensure the push-button mechanism on the armrests is fully depressed when attempting to adjust height. Check for any obstructions in the armrest's sliding mechanism.
