- Do Not Short Circuit: Never connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals with any metal object.
- Avoid Immersion: Do not immerse the battery in water or any other liquid.
- No Disassembly: Do not disassemble, crush, or modify the battery. This can cause internal damage, fire, or explosion.
- Proper Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the battery, especially during charging and discharging.
- Temperature Range: Operate the battery within its specified temperature range for charging (0°C to 65°C / 32°F to 149°F) and discharging (-20°C to 70°C / -4°F to 158°F).
- Use Compatible Chargers: Only use chargers specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries.
- Secure Connections: Ensure all cable connections are tight and secure to prevent arcing and overheating.
- Handling: The battery is heavy (59 lbs). Use proper lifting techniques or assistance when moving it.

4. Setup & Installation
4.1 Physical Installation
- Location: Install the battery in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
- Mounting: The battery can be mounted in any orientation as it contains no liquid acid. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent movement during operation.
- Dimensions & Weight: The battery weighs approximately 59 pounds (26.8 kg). Refer to Figure 4 for detailed dimensions.

Figure 4: Battery dimensions (approx. 384mm L x 190mm W x 245mm H) and weight (26kg / 57.3 lbs). Includes M8 terminals.
4.2 Wiring Connections
- Terminals: The battery uses M8 terminals. Ensure appropriate ring terminals are used for your cables.
- Cable Sizing: Use appropriately sized cables for your application to handle the maximum current draw. Undersized cables can lead to voltage drop and overheating.
- Polarity: Connect the positive (+) terminal of the battery to the positive terminal of your load/charger, and the negative (-) terminal to the negative terminal. Reverse polarity can damage the battery and connected equipment.
- Tighten Connections: Securely tighten all terminal connections to prevent loose contacts, which can cause resistance, heat, and potential damage.
4.3 Series and Parallel Connections
The PUPVWMHB 12V 330Ah battery supports both series and parallel connections to meet higher voltage or capacity requirements.
- Parallel Connection: Connect batteries in parallel to increase total capacity (Ah) while maintaining the same voltage (12.8V). Up to 4 batteries can be connected in parallel for a maximum of 1320Ah.
- Series Connection: Connect batteries in series to increase total voltage. Up to 4 batteries can be connected in series for a maximum of 51.2V.
- Combined Systems: For very large systems, batteries can be configured in a 4S4P (4 series, 4 parallel) arrangement to achieve up to 67.58 kWh of energy.
- Matching Batteries: For optimal performance and longevity, use batteries of the same brand, model, and age when connecting in series or parallel.
5. Operation
5.1 Bluetooth App Monitoring
The battery features an integrated Bluetooth module for real-time monitoring via a smartphone application.
- Download App: Scan the QR code in the Bluetooth manual or search for the specified app name (e.g., 'Xiaoxiang BMS' or 'PUPVWMHB Battery') in your smartphone's app store.
- Connect: Enable Bluetooth on your phone. Open the app and search for available devices. Select your battery from the list to connect.
- Monitor: The app displays critical battery information, including:
- Total Voltage
- Current (Charge/Discharge)
- State of Charge (SOC)
- Individual Cell Voltages
- Temperature
- Cycle Count
- BMS Status (Charge/Discharge MOSFETs)

5.2 Charging
- Charger Type: Use a LiFePO4 compatible charger with a voltage range appropriate for 12.8V nominal batteries.
- Charging Sources: Compatible with dedicated LiFePO4 chargers, solar charge controllers (MPPT recommended), and generators with appropriate charging systems.
- Charging Temperature: The BMS will prevent charging if the internal temperature is below 0°C (32°F).
- Recommended Charge Current: Refer to specifications for maximum recommended charge current.
5.3 Discharging
- Maximum Load: The 200A BMS supports a continuous discharge current of up to 200A. Ensure your load does not exceed this limit.
- Discharge Temperature: The BMS will prevent discharging if the internal temperature is below -20°C (-4°F).
- Low Voltage Cut-off: The BMS will disconnect the battery if the voltage drops below a safe threshold to prevent over-discharge.

5.4 Low Temperature Protection
The integrated BMS provides intelligent low-temperature protection to extend battery life and ensure safe operation:
- Charging Cut-off: Charging will automatically stop when the battery temperature drops to 0°C (32°F).
- Discharging Cut-off: Discharging will automatically stop when the battery temperature drops to -20°C (-4°F).
- This feature prevents damage to the battery cells that can occur when charging or discharging at extreme cold temperatures.

6. Maintenance
LiFePO4 batteries require minimal maintenance compared to lead-acid batteries. Follow these guidelines for optimal performance:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Clean terminals with a wire brush if necessary and ensure they are tight.
- Keep Clean: Keep the battery surface clean and free of dust and debris.
- Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50-70% State of Charge (SOC) and store it in a cool, dry place. Check the SOC every 3-6 months and recharge if necessary.
- Avoid Deep Discharge: While the BMS protects against over-discharge, it's best practice to avoid leaving the battery in a deeply discharged state for prolonged periods.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your PUPVWMHB battery, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Battery Not Powering On/Off: Check all cable connections for tightness and proper polarity. Ensure the battery is adequately charged. The BMS may have triggered a protection mode (e.g., low voltage, over-current). Check the app for BMS status.
- No Output Power: If the app shows the output is turned off, it might be due to a BMS protection event. Disconnect the load, wait a few minutes, and try reconnecting. If the issue persists, contact support.
- Charging Issues: Ensure your charger is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries and is functioning correctly. Check the battery temperature via the app; charging will stop if too cold.
- Bluetooth Connection Problems: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the app has location permissions (sometimes required for Bluetooth scanning). Try restarting your phone and the app.
- Unusual Behavior: If the battery exhibits unusual behavior (e.g., excessive heat, swelling, strange noises), immediately disconnect it from all loads and chargers and contact support.
