Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and strap with a soft, damp cloth. For leather straps, avoid excessive moisture and harsh cleaning agents.
- Water Resistance: The watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for recreational swimming and snorkeling. Do NOT press any buttons or pull the crown while the watch is wet or submerged. Avoid hot water, steam, and harsh chemicals.
- Battery Replacement: When the watch stops or the second hand begins to jump in 2-second intervals, the battery needs replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Timex service center to ensure water resistance is maintained.
- Storage: Store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Chemicals: Keep the watch away from solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, as these can damage the case, strap, or seals.
