The ECOELER Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch provides convenient, hands-free lighting control with adjustable settings for various environments. This device integrates a motion sensor and an ambient light sensor to automate lighting based on presence and light levels, while also offering dimming capabilities for compatible bulbs. It is designed for single-pole circuits and requires a neutral wire for installation.

6. Installation

Follow these steps carefully to install your ECOELER Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch. Ensure power is OFF before beginning.

6.1 Pre-Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate your circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the switch location. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Remove Old Switch: Unscrew and carefully remove the existing wall plate and switch from the electrical box. Do not disconnect wires yet.
  3. Identify Wires: Identify the following wires in your electrical box:
    • Hot (Line) Wire: Carries power from the circuit breaker.
    • Load Wire: Connects to the light fixture.
    • Neutral Wire: (Required) Typically white, often capped together with other neutral wires.
    • Ground Wire: (Recommended) Typically bare copper or green.

6.2 Wiring Instructions

Connect the wires from the ECOELER Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch to the corresponding wires in your electrical box using the provided wiring caps.

  • Connect the Black wire from the switch to the Hot (Line) wire from the wall.
  • Connect the Red wire from the switch to the Load wire from the wall.
  • Connect the White wire from the switch to the Neutral wire from the wall.
  • Connect the Green wire from the switch to the Ground wire from the wall.

6.3 Mounting and Finishing
