1. Introduction

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your JBL Tune Flex 2, please ensure all the following components are present:

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your JBL Tune Flex 2 earbuds and charging case. Connect the provided Type-C USB charging cable to the charging port on the case and a power source. The indicator lights on the case will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

3.2 Pairing with Your Device

1. Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings.
3. Select "JBL Tune Flex 2" from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation.

The earbuds support multi-point connection, allowing them to be paired with two devices simultaneously.

3.3 JBL Headphones App

Download the JBL Headphones app from your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) for full customization and control over your earbuds. The app allows you to:

• Adjust Adaptive Noise Cancelling levels.
• Tweak Ambient Sound Control settings.
• Create personalized sound profiles.
• Check for firmware updates.
• Utilize the "Find My Earbuds" feature.

4. Operating Your Earbuds

4.1 Audio Experience

The JBL Tune Flex 2 delivers JBL Pure Bass Sound through 12mm dynamic drivers. Activate JBL Spatial Sound via the app to transform any stereo source into a more immersive audio experience.

4.2 Noise Control

Utilize Adaptive Noise Cancelling to block out unwanted background noise, allowing you to focus on your audio. For situations where you need to be aware of your surroundings, activate Smart Ambient mode. TalkThru mode allows you to converse with others without removing your earbuds, by lowering music volume and amplifying voices.

4.3 Call Management

The earbuds feature 6 microphones with environmental noise cancellation and echo suppression algorithms. This ensures your voice is captured clearly and without distortion, even in windy or noisy environments, providing perfect calls on both ends.

4.4 Battery Life

Enjoy extended listening with up to 8 hours of playtime with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) enabled. The charging case provides an additional three full charges, totaling up to 32 hours of playback. With ANC off, the earbuds offer up to 12 hours of playtime, and the case extends this to a total of 48 hours.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean your earbuds and charging case to maintain optimal performance and hygiene. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe down the surfaces. For ear tips, gently remove them and clean with a damp cloth, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.

5.2 Water and Dust Resistance

The JBL Tune Flex 2 earbuds are IP54 rated, meaning they are protected against limited dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. While they are resistant to sweat and light rain, they are not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing them to strong jets of water or prolonged immersion. Ensure the charging port is dry before charging to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Connectivity Issues

• Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the charging case, then open the lid to activate pairing mode. Check your device's Bluetooth settings and try re-pairing.
• Intermittent connection: Move closer to your device. Ensure there are no major obstructions (like walls) between the earbuds and your device. Avoid strong electromagnetic interference.

6.2 Audio Issues

• Low volume or poor sound quality: Ensure ear tips are correctly sized and provide a good seal in your ear. Clean any debris from the earbud nozzles. Adjust equalizer settings in the JBL Headphones app.
• One earbud not working: Place both earbuds back in the charging case, close the lid, wait a few seconds, then open it again. This often re-syncs them. If the issue persists, try resetting the earbuds (refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific reset instructions).

6.3 Call Quality Issues

• People cannot hear you clearly during calls: Ensure the microphones are not obstructed. Try adjusting your position or moving to a quieter environment. The 6-mic array is designed for clarity, but extreme noise can still impact performance.

6.4 Battery Issues

• Earbuds not charging: Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the case and the power source. Check if the charging contacts on the earbuds and inside the case are clean and free of debris.
