Operating Instructions

Powering On and Initial Settings

  1. Connect the power cord to a grounded 110V outlet.
  2. Flip the red power switch located on the side of the control panel to the "ON" position. The digital display will illuminate.
  3. Use the TEMP and TIME buttons along with the up/down arrows to set your desired temperature (in Fahrenheit) and time (in seconds). Refer to your transfer material's instructions for recommended settings.

Adjusting Pressure and Live Tracking

The machine features an adjustable pressure knob and a live pressure readout. This allows for precise control over the applied force during pressing.

  1. To adjust pressure, turn the black knob located on top of the upper platen. Clockwise increases pressure, counter-clockwise decreases it.
  2. The digital display will show the real-time pressure reading (Levels 1-30) as the platen makes contact. The maximum capacity is 330 lbs.
  3. If the pressure exceeds Level 30 (330 lbs), the auto-release function will activate to prevent internal damage.

Using the Automatic Press and Release

This machine simplifies the heat transfer process with its automated functions.

  1. Once the desired temperature is reached, place your material and transfer design on the lower platen.
  2. Press the "Auto" button on the control panel. The upper platen will automatically lower and apply pressure.
  3. The timer will begin counting down. Once the set time expires, the upper platen will automatically lift, signaling the completion of the transfer.

Slide-Out Lower Platen

The slide-out lower platen enhances safety and ease of use, allowing you to position materials away from the heated upper platen.

  • Pull the handle on the front of the lower platen to extend it outwards. It extends up to 12.25 inches.
  • An audible "click" confirms the pull rod automatically locks when fully retracted, preventing accidental shifts during transfer.
  • Position your garment and transfer material on the extended platen.
  • Push the platen back into position before initiating the press cycle.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Heat Press

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your heat press.

  • Always ensure the machine is powered off and completely cooled before cleaning.
  • For the non-stick coated heat platen, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or sharp objects that could damage the coating.
  • The lower platen can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. If a lower pad cover is included, ensure it is clean and free of debris.
  • Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Troubleshooting

This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Machine does not power on.Power cord not properly connected; Power switch off; Outlet issue.Ensure power cord is securely plugged into both the machine and a working 110V outlet. Check the power switch is in the "ON" position. Test the outlet with another device.
Temperature or time settings cannot be changed.Control panel temporary malfunction; Overheating protection.Power off the machine and unplug it. Allow it to cool down completely for at least 30 minutes. Plug it back in and restart. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Upper platen does not press automatically or release."Auto" button not pressed; Pressure setting too high (auto-release activated); Mechanical obstruction.Ensure the "Auto" button is pressed. Check the pressure readout; if it exceeds Level 30, the machine will auto-release. Inspect for any obstructions preventing movement.
Uneven heat transfer.Incorrect temperature/time settings; Uneven pressure; Material not flat.Verify temperature and time settings are appropriate for your material. Adjust pressure to ensure even contact. Ensure the material is laid flat on the platen.
