Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Assembly: The smaller lantern comes pre-assembled. The larger lantern requires minimal assembly. Attach the top solar panel section to the main body using the provided screw connection. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Initial Charge: Before first use, place the lanterns in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours to allow the solar panels to fully charge the internal batteries.
  4. Placement: Position the lanterns in an area where the solar panel on top can receive maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for optimal charging. Avoid shaded areas.

Operating Instructions

  1. Automatic Operation: The lanterns are designed to automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, provided they have received sufficient sunlight during the day.
  2. Ambiance Modes: Each lantern features a button on the top solar panel. Press this button to cycle through three ambiance modes: flame, candle, and steady light. Select the mode that best suits your preference.
  3. Working Time: A full charge typically provides 15-20 hours of illumination.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the solar panel and lantern surfaces regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. This ensures efficient solar charging. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Waterproofing: The lanterns are designed with IP65 waterproof rating, making them suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions. However, avoid submerging them in water.
  • Battery Replacement: The lanterns use 1 AA Nickel-Metal Hydride battery. If the light duration significantly decreases over time, the battery may need replacement. Open the solar panel compartment to access and replace the battery with a new rechargeable AA Ni-MH battery of the same type.

Troubleshooting

  • Lantern does not light up at night:
    • Ensure the lantern is placed in an area receiving direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily.
    • Check if the ambiance mode button has been pressed to activate the light.
    • Verify that the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions.
    • The battery may be depleted. Try replacing the AA Ni-MH battery.
  • Light is dim or short-lived:
    • Insufficient sunlight exposure during the day. Relocate the lantern to a sunnier spot.
    • The battery may be old or not holding a full charge. Replace the AA Ni-MH battery.
