4. Product Overview and Components

Familiarize yourself with the parts of your Dratal DT-407 vacuum cleaner:

Main Unit (Fuselage)

  • Power Button: Turns the vacuum on and off.

5. Assembly and Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the main unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port.
  3. The battery indicator will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 3-4 hours.
  4. Disconnect the charger once fully charged.

5.2 Assembling the Vacuum

The Dratal DT-407 can be assembled in various configurations:

  1. Handheld Mode: Attach any desired brush head (Flat Nozzle Long Tube or Mite Brush) directly to the main unit.
  2. Stick Vacuum Mode: Connect the Extension Rod to the main unit. Then, attach the Floor Brush to the other end of the Extension Rod.
  3. Ensure all connections are secure before use.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button on the main unit to turn the vacuum cleaner on. Press it again to turn it off.

6.2 Using Attachments

  • Floor Brush: Use with the extension rod for cleaning hard floors, tiles, and low-pile carpets. Glide the brush head over the surface to pick up dust and debris.
  • Flat Nozzle Long Tube (Crevice Tool): Attach directly to the main unit or the extension rod. Ideal for cleaning tight spaces, corners, car interiors, and between sofa cushions.
  • Mite Brush: Attach directly to the main unit. Use this brush on mattresses, pillows, and upholstered furniture to effectively remove dust mites and fine particles.

6.3 Dust Cup Emptying

Empty the dust cup regularly to maintain optimal suction power. The 0.7L visualization dust cup allows you to see when it needs emptying. Simply detach the dust cup from the main unit and press the release button to open the bottom flap and dispose of the contents.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your vacuum cleaner.

7.1 Cleaning the Dust Cup

  1. Ensure the vacuum is turned off and disconnected from charging.
  2. Detach the dust cup from the main unit.
  3. Empty the collected debris into a waste bin.
  4. Wipe the inside of the dust cup with a dry cloth. Do not wash the dust cup with water unless specified by the manufacturer.

7.2 Cleaning the Filter

The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly, ideally after every few uses, or when suction power decreases.

  1. Remove the dust cup and then carefully pull out the filter element.
  2. Tap the filter gently over a trash can to remove loose dust.
  3. If necessary, rinse the filter under cold running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting it into the vacuum. Drying can take up to 24 hours.
  4. Reassemble the filter and dust cup.

7.3 Cleaning Brush Heads

Periodically check brush heads for tangled hair or debris. Use scissors to cut away any tangled hair and remove it. Wipe the brush heads with a damp cloth if needed.
