5. Setup Guide

5.1 Initial Connection

1. Locate the vehicle's OBD2 port. This port is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side.
2. Connect the BLCKTEC 460T's OBD2 cable to the vehicle's OBD2 port. Ensure a secure connection.
3. Turn the vehicle's ignition to the "ON" or "ACC" (Accessory) position. The engine does not need to be running for most diagnostic functions.
4. The scanner will power on automatically once connected to the vehicle's OBD2 port.

5.2 Language Selection

Upon first use, or if the language needs to be changed, navigate to the "Settings" menu on the scanner and select your preferred language (English, French, or Spanish).

6.1 Navigating the Menu

Use the directional buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through the menu options on the scanner's display. Press the "OK" button to confirm a selection and the "Back" button to return to the previous screen.

6.2 Performing Diagnostics

1. From the main menu, select "OBD2 Diagnostics" for standard OBD2 functions or "OEM Diagnostics" for advanced system scans (Engine, Transmission, ABS, SRS).
2. The scanner will automatically retrieve the vehicle's VIN (AutoVIN) and perform an AutoScan to detect any fault codes.
3. Read DTCs: Select "Read DTCs" to view current, pending, and permanent diagnostic trouble codes.
