3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Pre-installation Requirements

• Ensure your door thickness is between 40mm and 110mm.
• Verify the mortise type is 6068/240*24mm.
• Gather necessary tools for installation (e.g., screwdriver, drill).

3.2 Physical Installation

1. Prepare the Door: If replacing an existing lock, remove it. Ensure the door frame and boreholes align with the mortise dimensions.
2. Install the Mortise: Insert the mortise lock into the door edge and secure it with screws.
3. Install Spindles and Cables: Insert the square spindle through the mortise. Connect the necessary cables from the front panel to the back panel.
4. Attach Panels: Mount the front and back panels, ensuring all cables are properly routed and connected. Secure the panels with through-bolts.
5. Install Battery: Insert the battery pack into the designated compartment on the interior panel.
6. Test Operation: Before closing the door, test the mechanical key and handle operation to ensure smooth movement.

3.3 Initial Configuration (Tuya Smart App)

1. Download App: Download the Tuya Smart App from your mobile device's app store.
2. Create Account: Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add your TYSH-LWF1 smart lock. This typically involves putting the lock into pairing mode (refer to the lock's LED display for indicators) and connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
4. Administrator Setup: Set up the initial administrator fingerprint, password, and/or RFID card as prompted by the app.
5. Calibrate Face Recognition: Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the face recognition feature for authorized users.

4. Operating the Lock

4.1 Unlocking Methods

• Face Recognition: Stand in front of the lock, aligning your face with the 3D face recognition area. The lock will unlock upon successful verification.
• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint unlock area. The lock will unlock after successful recognition.
• Password: Enter your registered password on the touch keypad, followed by the '#' key.
• RFID Card: Present your registered RFID card to the swiping card area.
• Mobile App: Open the Tuya Smart App, select your lock, and use the unlock function. This can be done remotely if the lock is connected to Wi-Fi.
• Mechanical Key: In case of emergency or battery depletion, insert the mechanical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.

4.2 Locking the Door

The TYSH-LWF1 smart lock typically locks automatically after the door closes. You can also manually lock the door by pressing the lock button on the exterior panel or using the anti-lock knob on the interior panel.

5.1 Battery Management

• The lock is powered by a 4200/5000mAh battery. Monitor the battery level via the Tuya Smart App or the lock's LED display.
• When the battery is low, the lock will provide a low battery warning. Replace or recharge the battery promptly.
• In case of complete battery depletion, use a power bank connected to the micro-USB port for emergency power supply to unlock the door, or use the mechanical key.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.

6. Troubleshooting

• Lock not responding: Check battery level. If low, recharge or use emergency power. Ensure no physical obstruction.
• Fingerprint/Face recognition failure: Ensure your finger/face is clean and properly positioned. Re-register if issues persist.
• Wi-Fi connectivity issues: Verify your home Wi-Fi network is active and the lock is within range. Restart your router and the lock if necessary. Re-pair the device in the Tuya Smart App.
• App not controlling lock: Ensure your phone has an internet connection and the Tuya Smart App is updated. Check lock's Wi-Fi status.
• Lock makes unusual noises: Contact customer support. Do not attempt to disassemble the lock.
