Care and Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera
Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior of the camera. For the lens, use a microfiber lens cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the film rollers clean to prevent marks on your photos.
2. Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the camera in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
3. Film Storage
Store film packs in a cool, dark place, ideally refrigerated, until ready for use. Allow refrigerated film to reach room temperature before loading into the camera.
Troubleshooting
- Camera not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the camera to a power source using the USB-C cable.
- Film not ejecting: Check if the film door is fully closed. Ensure there is film loaded and that it is the correct type (i-Type or 600 film). If the darkslide did not eject upon loading, try removing and reinserting the film pack.
- Photos are blurry: Ensure your subject is within the camera's focus range (0.4m to infinity). For subjects closer than 0.6m, the camera should automatically switch to the portrait lens. Hold the camera steady when taking a picture.
- Photos are too dark/light: The camera has an automatic light meter. For challenging lighting conditions, use the exposure compensation feature in the Polaroid app (Manual Mode) to adjust brightness.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the camera is powered on. Try restarting both the camera and the app.
