4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation and Charging
The Z2PRO-F uses a 7.2V/3000mAh lithium battery. For optimal battery longevity, fully charge the device before first use.
- Locate the battery compartment on the side of the flash unit.
- Press the release button to open the compartment and insert the 3000mAh lithium battery. Ensure it clicks into place securely.
- To charge, connect the provided USB Type C cable to the Type C port on the battery (or directly on the flash unit) and to a 5V 2A USB charger (not included). The battery fully charges in approximately 2.5 hours.

4.2 Attaching to Camera
The Z2PRO-F is equipped with a metal hot shoe for secure attachment to compatible Fujifilm cameras.
- Slide the flash's hot shoe into your camera's hot shoe mount.
- Rotate the quick lock mechanism (if present) or tighten the locking ring to secure the flash firmly in place.

5.1 Power On/Off and Basic Flash Modes
Press and hold the On/Off button to power the flash on or off. The upgraded UI provides clear information and easy access to various modes.
- TTL Mode: Through-The-Lens automatic metering for balanced flash exposure.
- M (Manual) Mode: Allows manual adjustment of flash output from 1/1 to 1/256.
- Multi (Stroboscopic) Mode: Fires a series of rapid flashes during a single exposure for creative effects.
Use the dedicated TCM key to quickly switch between TTL and M modes. Firmware updates are available via the USB Type C port.

5.3 Flexible Flash Head and Modeling Lamps
The flash head can swivel 330° and tilt from -7° to 120°, providing flexible bouncing options for diverse lighting setups. Two 2W 3300K LED modeling lamps offer 10 brightness levels (01-10) to assist with pre-visualization of lighting.

5.4 Expanded 2.4G Wireless System
The Z2PRO-F features a built-in 2.4G wireless Q system, allowing it to function as a master or slave unit. It is compatible with QPRO-F TTL transmitters (not included) for wireless control of four groups (M/A/B/C), 32 channels, and 99 IDs up to 328'/100m. It is also compatible with the Godox 2.4G X system (RX COMPAT menu) or as a slave using Xpro, X3, or X2 transmitters. Note: Q and X systems cannot be used simultaneously; latest firmware is required for compatibility.
