Important Compatibility Note: This remote is specifically compatible with the Xumo Streaming Box and will not work with Pioneer or Element TVs that have Xumo integrated into them.

Setup and Installation

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA 1.5V batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
Slide the battery cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) ends align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use

This replacement remote control is designed for immediate use with compatible Xumo TV models and the Xumo Streaming Box. No programming or pairing is typically required. Simply insert the batteries, and the remote should function directly with your device.

Button Functions:

Power: Turns the TV on or off.

Netflix, Prime Video, Peacock, Xumo: Dedicated buttons for quick access to these streaming applications.
Number Pad (0-9): For direct channel entry or other numerical inputs.
Navigation Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK/Select): Used to navigate menus and select options.
Back: Returns to the previous screen or menu.
Home: Returns to the main home screen of your Xumo TV.

Backlight Feature

To Manually Control Backlight (Long-Term):

To turn the backlight off for long-term use, press and hold the Red Power button for approximately 6 seconds until the backlight turns off.
To turn the backlight on again, repeat the same step: press and hold the Red Power button for approximately 6 seconds until the backlight illuminates.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases or the backlight dims significantly. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA 1.5V batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
