The OIEXI 4K Digital Camera is a versatile device designed for photography and vlogging, featuring 4K video resolution, 64MP image capture, 10X optical zoom, and Wi-Fi connectivity. It includes a wide-angle and macro lens, autofocus, and various shooting modes to enhance your creative possibilities.

Upon opening your OIEXI 4K Digital Camera package, verify that all components are present:

Setup

1. Charging the Batteries

Before initial use, fully charge both included batteries. The camera uses Lithium Ion batteries.

  1. Insert the batteries into the dual battery charger.
  2. Connect the Type-C USB cable to the charger and a power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Once fully charged, remove the batteries.

2. Inserting the Battery and SD Card

The camera requires a battery and an SD card for operation and storage.

  1. Open the battery/SD card compartment cover located at the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert a charged battery into the battery slot, ensuring correct orientation.
  3. Insert the 64GB Micro SD card into the SD card slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is facing the correct direction.
  4. Close the compartment cover securely.

3. Attaching the Shoulder Strap

Attach the shoulder strap for secure and convenient carrying.

  1. Thread the thin ends of the strap through the strap lugs on each side of the camera.
  2. Secure the strap by threading it back through the buckle, ensuring it is tightly fastened.

Operating the Camera

1. Powering On/Off and Basic Controls

  • Power Button: Press to turn the camera on or off.
  • Shutter Button: Press halfway to focus, press fully to capture a photo or start/stop video recording.
  • Zoom Lever: Use to adjust the 10X optical zoom.
  • Mode Dial: Rotate to select different shooting modes.
  • Display Screen: The 3-inch OLED screen can be rotated for various viewing angles, including self-vlogging.

2. Shooting Modes

The camera offers a variety of shooting modes accessible via the mode dial:

  • Auto Mode (P): For general photography, the camera automatically adjusts settings.
  • Scene Mode (SCN): Pre-set modes for specific scenarios (e.g., landscape, portrait).
  • Manual Exposure Mode (M): Allows full control over aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
  • Aperture Priority Mode (Av): You set the aperture, and the camera selects the shutter speed.
  • Shutter Priority Mode (Tv): You set the shutter speed, and the camera selects the aperture.
  • Continuous Shooting: Captures multiple photos in quick succession.
  • Time-Lapse: Records a series of images over time to create a sped-up video.
  • Slow Motion: Records video at a higher frame rate for slow-motion playback.
  • Macro Mode: For close-up photography of small objects.
  • Filter Mode: Apply various creative filters to your photos.

3. Autofocus and Image Quality

  • Autofocus: The camera automatically focuses on subjects. Press the shutter button halfway to engage autofocus.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the camera body and lens. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For stubborn smudges on the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and cloth.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose them to extreme temperatures. If not using the camera for an extended period, remove the battery.
