Important Safety Information
- Read All Instructions: Follow all assembly instructions and warnings carefully to ensure safe use of the product.
- Tip-Over Prevention: The Redmond Dresser and Chest feature interlocking drawers to limit the number of drawers that can be opened simultaneously, reducing the risk of tip-overs. An anti-tip kit is included and must be installed for added safety. Always secure furniture to the wall using the provided anti-tip kit.
- Crib Mattress: Use only a mattress that is at least 27 1/4 inches (69 cm) by 51 5/8 inches (131 cm) with a thickness not exceeding 6 inches (15 cm). Ensure the mattress fits snugly without gaps. The Child Craft Dream Catcher Mattress (F04638) is compatible and sold separately.
- Crib Conversion: When converting the crib to a toddler bed, a toddler guard rail (item #F09514) is required and sold separately. For full-size bed conversion, coordinating wooden bed rails (item #F06424) are required and sold separately.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and other fasteners to ensure they are tight and secure. Do not use the product if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken.
- ASTM Standards: All Child Craft furniture pieces are built and engineered to meet the highest safety standards, including ASTM F2057-23 [STURDY].
Setup and Assembly
Assembly is required for all pieces in the Redmond Nursery Set. Please ensure you have all parts and tools before beginning. Detailed assembly instructions are included with each individual furniture piece. It is recommended to assemble the furniture in the room where it will be used.
Crib Assembly and Conversion
The Redmond crib is a 4-in-1 convertible crib, designed to adapt as your child grows. It can be configured as a crib, day bed, toddler bed, and full-size bed.

- Crib: Follow the included instructions to assemble the crib. Ensure all hardware is securely tightened.
- Mattress Support: The metal mattress support adjusts to two positions. Select the appropriate height based on your child's age and development. The higher position is for infants, and the lower position is for older babies who can push up on their hands and knees or stand.
- Day Bed: To convert to a day bed, remove the front rail of the crib.
- Toddler Bed: To convert to a toddler bed, remove the front rail and install the toddler guard rail (item #F09514, sold separately).
- Full-Size Bed: To convert to a full-size bed, remove both side rails and attach the coordinating wooden bed rails (item #F06424, sold separately) to the headboard and footboard.

Operating Instructions
Adjusting Crib Mattress Height
The crib mattress support has two adjustable positions. To change the mattress height:
- Remove the mattress from the crib.
- Carefully remove the mattress support from its current position by unscrewing the support bolts.
- Re-attach the mattress support to the desired height, ensuring all bolts are securely fastened. The higher position is for newborns, and the lower position is for infants who can sit up or stand.
- Place the mattress back into the crib.
Using the Dresser and Chest
The dresser and chest drawers are designed for smooth operation. To open, gently pull the drawer handle. To close, push the drawer firmly until it is fully shut. The interlocking drawer mechanism prevents more than one drawer from being fully opened at a time, enhancing stability.
When using the changing topper on the dresser, always keep one hand on your baby to prevent falls. Do not leave your child unattended on the changing topper.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or polishes that may damage the finish.
- Hardware: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Loose hardware can compromise the safety and stability of the furniture.
- Storage: If storing the furniture, do so in a dry, temperature-controlled environment to prevent warping or damage to the wood.
- Sunlight Exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause fading or discoloration of the wood finish.
