3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the pinpointer. The device features a rechargeable battery.
- Locate the charging port cover on the device.
- Open the cover and connect a standard USB charging cable (not included) to the port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The charging indicator will illuminate. Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off, depending on the model.
- Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed after charging to maintain waterproofing.

3.2 Attaching the Belt Holster and Lanyard
For convenient carrying, attach the provided belt holster and retractable hanging wire.
- Slide the pinpointer into the belt holster.
- Attach the belt holster to your belt or backpack strap.
- Secure the retractable hanging wire to the designated attachment point on the pinpointer and to your belt or clothing to prevent loss.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device to turn it on or off. The device will emit a short beep/vibration to indicate it is active.
4.2 Selecting Detection Modes
The pinpointer offers two detection modes: Vibration Mode and Vibration + Audio Mode.
- Vibration Mode: The device will vibrate when metal is detected.
- Vibration + Audio Mode: The device will vibrate and emit an audible tone when metal is detected.
To switch between modes, briefly press the power button while the device is on. The device will indicate the current mode through a specific sequence of vibrations or tones.

4.3 Adjusting Sensitivity
The pinpointer features three sensitivity levels for detecting targets at different depths:
- Low Sensitivity: Detects up to approximately 1.5 inches (4 cm).
- Normal Sensitivity: Detects up to approximately 2.3 inches (6 cm).
- High Sensitivity: Detects up to approximately 5.2 inches (13 cm).

4.4 Metal Detection
The EXTSUD Pinpointer is designed to detect all types of metals, including precious metals like gold and silver, as well as common items like coins and iron.
- Once powered on and the desired mode/sensitivity is selected, slowly sweep the tip of the pinpointer over the area you wish to scan.
- When metal is detected, the device will respond with vibrations and/or audio alerts, depending on the selected mode. The intensity of the alert may increase as you get closer to the target.
- Use the 360° detection capability to pinpoint the exact location of the target within the soil or water.

4.5 Underwater Operation
The EXTSUD Pinpointer is IP68 rated, allowing for fully submersible operation up to 10 feet (3 meters). Ensure all covers, especially the charging port cover, are securely sealed before submerging the device.

5. Maintenance
