Setup Instructions

1. Paint Thinning Procedure

Proper paint thinning is crucial for optimal spray performance and to prevent clogging. Use the included viscosity cup to measure the paint's consistency.

  1. Pour an appropriate amount of thinner into a measuring cup.
  2. Gradually add the thinner to the paint and stir thoroughly.
  3. Fill the viscosity cup with the thinned paint and start a timer as it drains. Refer to the paint manufacturer's recommendations for ideal runout times.
  4. Avoid over-thinning to ensure proper paint adhesion and durability.

2. Assembly and Connection

  1. Attach the spray gun to the paint container by twisting until secure.
  2. Connect one end of the air hose to the main power unit and the other end to the spray gun. Ensure connections are tight.
  3. For convenience, the main power unit can be placed on the floor, or carried with the auxiliary strap.

  • Round Pattern: Ideal for small areas and detail work.
  • Vertical Oval Pattern: Suitable for horizontal surfaces.
  • Horizontal Oval Pattern: Suitable for vertical surfaces.

To change the nozzle, unscrew the cap nut, replace the nozzle, and re-secure the cap. Adjust the air cap to select the desired spray pattern.

Use the adjustable control knob on the spray gun to regulate the spray volume. Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed for your specific paint and surface.

2. Spray Technique

  1. Hold the gun 10-30 cm (4-12 inches) from the surface. Maintain this distance consistently throughout the process.
  2. Move the gun in smooth, parallel passes at a steady speed (e.g., 30-60 cm/second). Overlap each pass by 50% to avoid streaks.
  3. Keep the gun perpendicular to the surface; avoid tilting or arcing motions.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Clean the paint sprayer thoroughly after each use to prevent paint residue buildup and ensure longevity. Cleaning should be done within 15 minutes of use to prevent clogging.

  1. Empty any remaining paint from the container.
  2. Clean the surface and inside of the container with the included brush and rinse thoroughly with water or appropriate diluent.
  3. Unscrew the cap nut, remove the air cap and nozzle. Clean these parts with the brush and diluent.
  4. Clean the suction tube and the internal components of the spray gun. The spray gun should be tilted downwards during cleaning.
  5. Reassemble all parts once clean and dry.
