5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

To turn on the TENS unit, press the power button on the unit itself or on the remote control. To turn off, press and hold the power button until the unit powers down.

6.2 Using the Remote Control

The remote control allows you to easily manage the device's settings:

  • Mode Selection: Use the 'M' button to cycle through the six automatic and nine manual TENS pulse stimulation modes.
  • Intensity Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the intensity level. There are 16 levels of intensity available. Start with a low intensity and gradually increase until you feel a comfortable, yet effective, sensation.
  • Timer: The remote may display a timer indicating the remaining session duration.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Device and Patches

After each use, gently wipe the TENS unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water. The hydrogel patches can be gently wiped with a damp cloth if needed, but avoid excessive moisture. Ensure the patches are dry before re-applying the protective film.

7.2 Storage

Store the TENS unit and remote control in the provided storage case when not in use. Keep the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Proper storage helps prolong the life of the hydrogel patches and the device itself.

7.3 Hydrogel Patch Replacement

The hydrogel patches are consumable items and will lose their adhesiveness over time with repeated use. Replace the patches when they no longer stick firmly to the skin or when you notice a decrease in stimulation effectiveness. Replacement patches can be purchased separately from authorized Hammacher Schlemmer retailers.
