1. Product Overview

The iCarSEPTON 6.8-inch Car Stereo is an advanced in-dash head unit designed to upgrade your vehicle's infotainment system. It features a 6.8-inch IPS touchscreen, a 4-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. Key functionalities include Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS navigation, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth connectivity, and support for a rear-view camera.

4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to consult a professional if you are unsure about any steps.

4.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the detailed wiring diagram for connecting all components, including power, speakers, USB, GPS, and the reverse camera.

Important Note: If there is no sound after installation, please check the wiring. Specifically, connect the green wire D (labeled "IE Bus") to the E wire of the original white plug, as indicated in the diagram.

4.2 Camera Cable Insertion

Ensure the camera cable is inserted correctly. This cable also helps enhance Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals, regardless of whether a camera is installed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect your phone via Bluetooth:

1. On the car radio, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
2. On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices. The car stereo's Bluetooth name is typically "CarBT".
3. Enter the password "0000" when prompted to pair.

5.2 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

After connecting via Bluetooth, CarPlay or Android Auto will automatically connect. Ensure the CarPlay function is enabled on your iPhone (General > CarPlay > Zlink > Open/Close CarPlay).

To disconnect CarPlay/Android Auto, clear the background applications on the head unit and find "Zlink" to turn off the automatic background connection.

5.3 GPS Navigation & Wi-Fi

The unit supports both online and offline GPS navigation. Connect to Wi-Fi via your phone's hotspot or a Wi-Fi device for real-time traffic updates and app downloads.

You can use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi simultaneously by turning off the automatic CarPlay/Android Auto connection and not clicking Zlink.

5.4 Steering Wheel Control

The unit supports steering wheel controls for enhanced safety and convenience. You can operate key functions without removing your hands from the wheel.

5.5 Rear View Camera

When connected, the rear view camera automatically displays the area behind the car when reversing, assisting with safe parking.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your iCarSEPTON Car Stereo, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, for extended periods.
• Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates to ensure the system runs efficiently and has the latest features.
• Cable Connections: Ensure all cables remain securely connected to prevent intermittent issues.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your car stereo.

• Q: Why is the Radio black screen or does not start?
  A: Use a toothpick to poke the small round hole RST. Check if the Blue / Red fuse in the back is burnt out. Check whether the Canbus box is connected.
• Q: Why is the touch insensitive?
  A: Please use 5 fingers to re-learn according to the video.
• Q: Why is there no sound?
  A: Check if the speaker cable is connected incorrectly or reversely. Check whether the Canbus box is connected.
• Q: Why are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals poor?
  A: Connect the reversing cable to enhance the signal of Bluetooth & Wi-Fi.
• Q: Why can't Bluetooth connect?
  A: Find "Car-BT", enter the password "0000" to connect to Bluetooth. Delete any previous connection records and try again.
• Q: How to Connect and Close CarPlay?
  A: 1. Connect to Bluetooth, Zlink will automatically connect to CarPlay. 2. Clear the background (the second one from the upper right). 3. On iPhone: General > CarPlay > Zlink > Open/Close CarPlay.
• Q: Why doesn't the steering wheel work?
  A: 1. Check whether the protocol serial port line is plugged in reverse or missing, and if other plugs are missing. 2. Check whether the protocol is selected incorrectly or missed.
• Q: Why is the reversing camera not showing?
  A: 1. Please refer to our pictures to see if the wiring is correct. 2. Go to Setting > Factory setting (password 8888) > Protocol Parameter Settings > Reverse video resolution settings > AHD/25.
